I am looking for an artist to design the art for my website. There is a lot of great art in this forum, o I am hoping someone can help me out.

Sometime in the next year, there will be a video game coming out called Shadowbane. I will be starting a guild in this game, and for the guild, I will be creating a website.

The guild (and therefore the website) will be based upon historical events from the game's history. Characters, and storylines will be developed. What I need is faces to go with the characters.

I would ask one thing from the artist. The images need to fit the characters in the story. Other than that, you will have total artistic freedom to create what you like.

What do you get out of it? The only thing I can say is, that you will have designed the art for a website, and you can add it to your resume. The story and the characters are being created for fun, and Im hoping if someone enjoys creating art, and bringing stories to life, they will enjoy helping with this site for that reason.

Well, it was in the gallery...

To be honest, I am asking for free work. I wouldnt mind paying for someone's work, but I know the work of graphical artists doesnt come cheap. I am here to let someones creativity be a beacon for my players, and share their ability, not to employ someone.

So whatever happened to people who do things for fun, or to be creative? I thought that is what art was all about.

All I have gotten out of asking for help is a bunch of Canadians who want to slam everyone else. I have never met a Canadian, but if I made a judgement call from this thread, I would say you were a bunch of arrogant greedy people, who had nothing better to do than troll.

If you look at the origional message, it said "If not, thanks for your time." That means if you cant help me, there is no need for you to be a troll, go complain somewhere else.

Its pretty bad when someone is faced with the choices of slamming someone else, helping out, and passing a thread by, and they choose to slam someone.

these people arent trolls. they are artists, regulars here. you are the one trolling for free work. and yes, sometimes its nice to do art for the fun of it. but many of the artists here are pros, and simply dont have the time to do pro bono work. hethe sounded interested, and frankly, if he does it, you'd be very lucky, he is a great artist. but there is no need for you to get pissy cause the entire board cant bow to your whims.

Troll = someone who starts fights in forums when it isnt necessary.

I wasnt trolling for work, it doesnt make sense. I was asking for help. Can we still ask for help these days? It was ONE post that could have been easily passed by, but someone had to make the extra effort to insult someone else.

I would imagine Dr. Bang and Lomi are great artists, I wont argue that. They can frequent these forums all they want, but if they start arguments when it isnt necessary, they earn themselves the title "troll".

I am not getting pissy, nor do I want the board to bend to my will, so I have no idea what you are talking about.

You guys are giving Noods a hard time. If no one wants to work for 0 the least we can do is ignore his post. But by posting in the gallery, you did kinda stir up the hornets nest, so to speak.
