I still have difficulties drawing a good mouth ( real life style ) with upper lip and lower lip in 3/4 view, open and closed.
The only reference I have is the tut on polykarbon but still its difficult.
Would you people be so kind to show me how you draw a mouth , or scan in some pictures of books which explains how to draw the mouth..

it's no use trying to learn to draw individual pieces of human anatomy. you'll end up drawing badly put-together jigsaw puzzle-people. |

Pointers for realistic lips:
- draw lips 3-dimenionally, because they are 3-dimensional, not flat . Maybe practice just lips for a while, close-up and think about that.
- lips have no natural outline, they're just a different type of tissue than normal skin, so when you draw or color them realistically, don't draw a hard outline.
- in 3/4 view, remember the lips curve around the face, not just sitting on a flat surface. |
