we need a forum challenge. something like the old draw clubs or the tiles game. maybe one of our expierienced artists can give us a draw club topic? something that challenges us and spawns some creative responses? im basically missing the draw clubs, those were so fun

SporQ speaks the word of truth, even though I'm too new to have participated...

Let 'em rip!

funny thing actually i was just browsing some site and came acorss a site that has people translating manga's or sumthing.
Wich gave me the idea that it might be cool too make a "comic" witha bunch of people.
Like a big collective working on the art and making up the story as they go along.

It would go sumthing like this:
People send in there idea's
Sketches for characters - backgrounds etc.
Then based on that a simple!! plot would be posted by people who came up with sumthing.
People can read the posted stuff. A plot gets refined as do the characters etc over time.

Well that would be the general idea. - doubt it would work - but if u get a small group of serious people it could be fun and u might learn alot in the process too. Would even better with a big group working along hehe - but lets stay realistic hehe...

Just a idea

I want to paricipate! We can start a soap company, shave our heads and meet in restaurant basements to draw pictures (whoever said that movies influence us should be dragged out in the cold and slapped with a beaver's tail).

The comic seems like a nice idea...although I think it's going to be more of a "graphic novel"...If we fix certain things for the sake of uniformity - we could even print it We'd need to make model sheets tho.

exactly nova, draw club was inspired from fight club... http://www.sijun.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=005581

tiles game was basically one big image divided up into tiny tiles and everybody got one to paint. you had to blend your edge with the ones next to yours and you only got to see a few pixels of them so that you werent influenced by them too much.

just add another rule to draw club about reserved spots. only about 3 people will listen, but it might help some.

If you guys would like to make another picture with tiles, I can set up a private quilt for Sijun forum members at http://tiles.ice.org. That way no one needs to do all that organizing, cutting, pasting, emailing, etc.

Drop me an emailif interested.
