does anyone know what is the shortcut key for brush size in painter 5.5 (if any)
or how i can easyly change the brush size apart from the brush palette??

for pc change brush size on screen is...ctrl+alt

not sure about 5.5, but in 6 it's [ and ] like in photoshop. |

it's painter 5.5 for pc..
SporQ.. yep, i've got painter 7 and i can use [ and ] to change the brush size just like ps.. but it doesn't work in 5.5.. i'm switching back cause i can't stand the slow brush in painter 7
audi_ooo... i'll give it a try when i get home.. hmm but doesn't ctrl is for the eyedropper tool?? |

you need to push both ctrl and alt at the same time then you can change the size of any drawing tool right on the screen to the exact size you need to paint with....this is to variably change size of brushes on screen not to scroll from one brush to another which is a different function....what are you trying to do?...scroll from one brush to another like in photo or increase decrease brush size on screen. try it i think you would prefer the ladder. |

yo saripol, you just bought painter 7....you don't like it?....slow brushes? what do you mean? I'm interested in getting 7, what are your thoughts, very interest! indeed. |

audi_oooo.. thank you so much .. that is the kind of thing i was looking for.. it will my job a whole lot easier now.. hehhehe
about the the slow brush in painter 7.. its slow esp when you are using complex brush with lot of fx.. its like when you put a stroke and pick the pen up.. the stroke is still being render by painter and can take up to 3-5 seconds to finish..
but this is something to do with your computer speed i think.. cpu, ram etc.. i'm surely gonna missed tons of brush selection in painter 7... i think i'll give it another try once i've upgraded my computer.. |
