I just have a few questions for the general public of Sijun Forums and I would appreciate if you would take your time to answer them.
1. What is the size of the canvas you work in Photoshop or Painter?(estimate)
2. Do you use the Brush Size option checked on your wacom tablet in Photoshop when you use the brushes?
3. Do you have the Brush color option checked on your wacom tablet in photoshop?
4. Do you prefer the Airbrush or the Brush Tool?
5. Do you use Dodge and Burn, a lot or little?
6. Do you make the initial sketch in photoshop or on paper?
7. Do you use paper on the wacom tablet to reduce jittering?
8. How long does it take you to finish an average piece?
9. Did you attend an art college?
10.How much time do you spend drawing a week?
These questions are only to see how some people do their drawings digitally and some things concerning them. Thanks in advance for those who answer this questionnaire. |

1. What is the size of the canvas you work in Photoshop or Painter?(estimate)
...........I start small...around 200x whatever...and move up as I finish the piece...that makes it easier to use large brushes in the beginning and also concentrate on the basic compositional thumbnail at the same time.
2. Do you use the Brush Size option checked on your wacom tablet in Photoshop when you use the brushes? No
3. Do you have the Brush color option checked on your wacom tablet in photoshop? never
4. Do you prefer the Airbrush or the Brush Tool? no...whatever tool does the job
5. Do you use Dodge and Burn, a lot or little?
I do not use dodge and burn at any time. for a black and white image it might have its uses but for color images it does not allow for precise control of light color ..it is always best to paint it yourself. dodge and burn is a crutch. it makes it look like the artist does not understand color theory or light yet.
6. Do you make the initial sketch in photoshop or on paper? in painter...
7. Do you use paper on the wacom tablet to reduce jittering? uhm...no
8. How long does it take you to finish an average piece? two hours to one week
9. Did you attend an art college? sure did....six years.
10.How much time do you spend drawing a week? 40-60 hours |
