So, what's everyone's "type?"
Mine is fairly complicated. Pretty much unrealistic. Here goes:
Aphrodite reincarnate: She is nothing like the typical woman of our time. She possesses a kindness that is from deep within. She is natural, unpretentious, compassionate, and unselfish. She is extremely witty, able to make me choke on my food with her perfectly timed clever remarks(however, never sarcastic and malicious). She is soft-spoken, but not timid. Most people can talk for hours with no content, but she can express far more with just a few words. She is ethereal, angelic, and completely modest. She is confident, never arrogant, and intuitively sees beauty in everything. She gives people the benefit of the doubt, and trusts with an open heart. She is passionate, devoted, yet vulnerable in her sentimentality. She is not afraid to show her weakness, and she is never too proud to admit when she is wrong. She believes in justice, and protects the weak and innocent with a fierceness not to be challenged. She is a child at heart, and remains heart-achingly naive in her outlook, yet she is wise beyond my comprehension. She has the patience of a saint, yet she can't wait even a second longer to be next to me again. She is elegant, fit to dine with the world's royalties, yet, she is sincere and personable, completely at home chatting with the pan-handler at her street corner. She does not judge others, and she believes strongly in the rights of all living things. She is lusty in the bedroom, insatiable for the passion of her beloved, yet she radiates the innocents of an angel. She is fun-loving, always up for a good laugh, a hearty smile, and not immune to naughty impulses for a bit of wickedness. Her love is unconditional, and her faith unshakable. She is slender, with dangerous curves, and she can be seductive even in a pair of faded sweats. She is imaginative and creative, deeply in love with all things creative and intellectual. She is affectionate, lighting up my world with her every whisper and every touch. She is a hopeless romantic, lavishing her passions without restrain. She is unmaterialistic, having a deep understanding that the most precious things in life has nothing to do with monetary gains. She is the woman that all women aspire to be, and all men desire.
Yeah, I know. She doesn't exist. Even if she does, I'm not good enough for her anyways.

I think I find that I am at first attracted not to the person but the feature in them that most stands out from the majority... during highschool these were the goth chicks, (when there weren't so many around) and the outcast girls, now it's those tomboyish girls who cast away the whole girlish attitude, and approach life more honestly... physically, I'd rather the person be natural and rugged looking without makeup than a movie star looks covered with makeup...
plus the #1 things I find attractive about a girl is if we can strike an interesting conversation despite the fact I usually look like a bum

Isn't it a bit presumptuous to assume that all women want to be like the girl you just described, Lunatique? I most certainly would not want to be that kind of girl *shudders* Hopeless romantic, eh? Ick.
At any rate. I want someone who is fiercely independent. Someone who has no need to be with me every single day, and who keeps friends and hobbies though we are a couple. You'd be surprised to know just how many idiots there are out there who throw all they have - and all that they are - right out the window when they get into a relationship. Since I am not like that, and very much do not aspire to be like that, I don't want to date someone like that, either.
I want someone who can function without me. I don't want some snivelling romantic that goes on and on about "not surviving without me" Call me a cynic, but that's how it is for me.
I want someone who won't change for me.

I want a guy that doesn't need to be with me.. but wants to be with me. I think people should always do what they really want to do... (with out hurting others)
Someone to hold me when I cry. My type of guy would be fun... someone who enjoys going out and trying new things.
Unlike Enayla.. I want someone who's alittle romantic. Someone who makes me feel special.. like leaving little notes under my pillow or on the window of my car.
He would love me for who I am.. and not what I look like ( obviously ;p ). I would only hope that I could make him feel special, and I would do my best to make him smile. He would be smart.. and always full of interesting ideas. He would be passionate and gentle.
I don't want a "strong" guy.. I want someone who can be strong with the situation calls for it as well as soft.
Sorry.. I'm tired. going to bed....

*chuckles* Lonely People R Us, eh? Count me in.
What's my type, then? Well, to be honest, I don't have a type. Or rather, I don't believe in types. I believe in individuals. I don't believe in expectations, I believe in discoveries. I don't have a list of things she should or shouldn't be, I just have my feelings. I don't have any guidelines to follow, or rules potential partners must adhere to. My heart is not a simple thing to be satisfied by a girl's score on a checklist of attributes. I want a person, not a type of person. I won't know if a person is right for me until I really know them as an individual.
As I haven't met the right person yet, so therefore don't know what 'type' of person they might or might not be, I guess attempting to reply to this thread was actually pretty futile... Oh well, I tried. |

Eh, I've had a few boyfriends. I know what I don't like. I don't like leeches.
As for the romantic stuff... I'm not saying I'm completely against it - it can be sweet. But I'll never be a complete romantic.
Not "me", I guess.
Depends on what you've been through, and what you've experienced. On some levels, I guess I just don't... *shrugs*... eh, bother.

hehe what enayla said reminds me of something..
I never had any success in being "romantically involved" with women as long as I acted nice and talkative.
Then, after some time I switched to "you dont interrest me all that much"-mode and suddenly things seemed to change.
rather weird no?
Morale: Dont show women that you are interrested in them until they do

nex: I've noticed that too... don't see how they can expect us to understand them when they act like muppets...
A curriculum I normally have that a girl has to fulfil is to NOT have their entire cell phone number list filled up so that they have to remove a number to add yours... those girls are just too much trouble and generally annoying... I'm not saying that I ignore her just caus she has 500 numbers, I just think twice *tis experience speaking*

Heh, actually... I think it's boring with guys that seem too interested. I like it to be a bit of a chase and game - from both sides.
Most guys think they have to be the hunter all the time - I like to be the huntress, though, occasionally...
So, guys... yeah... it's a good idea to act uninterested.

A girl who can take care of herself. Physically as well as emotionally and mentally. I don't want to be her knight in shining armor constantly. Only every once in a while.
Independent, but not to the extreme. I personally would dislike that if I didn't see my loved one for a week and her only comment would be "Oh, I didn't even notice you were gone." or "I didn't even miss you." accompanied by a little peck on the cheek. *brr* Cold.
So, basically I agree with what Ivey said about wanting, not needing, to be together.
What I would also like my "ideal" partner to have is self confidence, self esteem and a general comfort with herself. I don't want to have to support her frail ego and treat her with silk gloves constantly. Notice, I do not want to do it CONSTANTLY. Every once in a while, to quote R.E.M., everybody hurts and needs a kind word.
I also want a girl who doesn't know the definition of an "uncomfortable silence". In Finland, silences are only comfortable and generally people don't feel the need to "shoot the breeze". I love talking, but mostly about things that matter (well, possibly some occasional bullshit ), but I have never felt compelled to start a conversation with someone if it's not happening naturally. Just sitting in the same room enjoying the moment without the need to run around doing something just to fill a void within oneself or talking about shit that doesn't matter.
Fringe fetish, but that's me.
Jesus, I never figure I even had any criteria before I started writing stuff down. Wow.
Most of these are modeled off my one and only (and current actually) relationship with a girl.
Ahh, enough of this shit.
EDIT: Can't even spell the name of my own goddamn country.

Physically, well, fat men are out, and so are inordinately hairy men. Also, men with manky, tangled hair or dandruff can go away. My ideal is rather bizarre. Bald, or mostly bald with a little fringe of hair around the edges (think the hunchback in Rocky Horror Picture Show without the hunched back....), big eyes, pretty face, and a smooth body.
Mentally, he has to be able to leave me alone to commune with my first love (the computer). He can't be clingy, needy, or overly emotional. And if I forget Valentine's Day 3 years in a row, he can't get mad! He has to have interests and friends apart from me, and interesting prospects for the future. He also has to indulge my aversion to the Vancouver bus system, and not laugh at me as I take taxis all over the place.
Actually, truth be told, I already HAVE a man, and he's close enough to the ideal as makes no difference. He laughs at my taxi habit, and gave me a wounded look when I forgot the dreaded V-day for the third time this year....
BUT...I get my computer time.
If I weren't taken, I think Slightly Twisted would be my type (Heh heh heh)

Lunatique, have you tried out a short haircut? I think it would look good, and you won't need to spend hours drying your hair
That reminds me I have to get my hair cut
Well, let's wait this week full of exams finishes... |

Hmm. I've had long hair since I was 18(28 now), and I havn't gotten sick of it yet. It's actually very convenient; I just tie it up in a ponytail when I don't want to deal with it, and I don't have to use any hair products to style it(I would have to with short hair, since my hair is pretty thick).
I get mixed responses about having long hair. Some people hate it, some love it. I keep it because it's far more easier to deal with than short hair(no need for hair products is the main reason). And guess what? It's not that bad with the drying time.

Bah, playing games is fun. Hunter instincts and all that crap. I think flirty glances and alluring smiles are a thousand times more fun than snivelly romantic puppy-eyed sweetness.
I'm sorry, but it just makes me think of cheap novels that a bunch of my friends used to buy when we were younger. I like to take things as they come, but without the little hint of doubt in the back of my mind, or that interesting, intriguing chase, I don't know for sure if I would bother or not.
No matter... someone here deserves a big hug, anyway. *HUGS on SlightlyTwisted*

I am faced with a moral dilemma. As I am going to the army in 4 months anyway, should I cut my hair or not? I like it short, but why bother if it's gonna get totally cut off soon anyway?
Inspired by all the peeps here, I picked up my vidcam and snapped a shitty pixellated (as in blurry, not drunk) still of my ugly mug. They don't get any more recent than this:
The look on my face is me trying to operate the fking remote on my camera while maintaining eyecontact.
EDIT: Added the img-tags, so looking at me would be compulsory. Muahaaa.

Well, I guess my ideal las would be affectionate, honest and fun to be with. Someone I could confide in and listen to as well.
Someone honest and fun loving. I can't stand flirtatious bitches (pardon my French). Bad memories.
With regard to the topic, post your photos people. Could be a laugh to see if your 'type' frequents Sijun.com - mind you, I sense a 90% male to 9% female ratio here. 1% unspecified.

I like the typical all-around girls who enjoy doing crazy stuff. The ones with a sense of humor, and can talk about things other than bloody gossip, which I get too often. I try not to be a little picky person about it, everyone has their ups and downs.
I guess since we are posting pictures of ourselves, here is me:
