Hi all...

Some of you may have seen the post about Troika Games seeking a texture artist. I want let you all know that we are also now accepting portfolios for two 3D level design positions (modelling, texture application, level concepting as well as working from my concepts, and Lighting) and one 3D animator position.

A great portfolio of work pertaining to the positions available (demo reel of animations or screenshots of levels)

experience is a plus...a good portfolio is a must...

knowledge of 3ds max is also helpful...though if you are a maya god then the switch shouldnt be too hard

This game is going to be very art heavy. Its going to look great. Period. Its not fantasy...but its dark and brooding..It's really fun subject matter!

Troika makes excellent games (arcanum and they are also the same team that helped create Fallout).

If you are interested in helping us bring the new title to the next level...let me know.

thanks, I look forward to your emails.

If you want to live in sunny CA..now is the time to send your stuff out

Got anything for "...just an average all around good guy with a tiny bit of talent and no experience whatsoever, espescially in games. Unless your talking photography and film & video production... then maybe a little more than a bit of experience."

...lol. My life summed up in less than 50 words. I'll be over there *points* in the corner having a nervous breakdown.

if you have da skillz then I dont care if you come from the circus.

unfortunately at this point we will not be training any artists (unless you are just that good). We are all ready to roll...we want the same from whomever we hire.

The only way we will hire another 2d guy at this point is if I died. heehhe..you cant have my job. lol.

Yes, I'd like to see a website too. : )

Cooter: I hear you. I'm still waiting for someone to hire me for sleeping in until 2:00 pm every day. Or eating Twix.

I love Twix.

we dont have a site that has our current stuff on it...I want to do that but what we have to show is unreleased at this time.
www.troikagames.com is the homepage. We will not be updating the site until we announce the title.

They are "in house" only positions. We are not interested in freelance at this time.

The project is just starting so there is lots of good stuff to do yet...Its gonna be a blast.

thanks for all the portfolios.

I have a website at http://masterd10.tripod.com . Please, take a good look at it, but please keep in mind that the website is only new and needs to be worked on some more. I'm been very busy, so finding time to update the website has been difficult. More artist is on the way as always. I'm determined to work in the games industry as an artist of any sort and I will go professional sooner or later. Its so difficult to get the foot in the door. Are you going to give me the break I'm been waiting for all this time? I would like to talk to you online, do you have ICQ, Yahoo Messanger or AIM?

hi...

how work goes....well it goes well thats about all I can say...its a very complicated thing to answer that correctly..too complicated Id say. we are different than any company Ive worke for...its more like working with than working for if you know what I mean. Everything is going well...I am enjoying my days.

we do not provide housing...thats your job.

keep the portfolios coming.

defiant....if I were in your shoes..and I was at one point not long ago...I would start taking as many art classes as I could.

more figure work..more working from life...more drawing from life...more painting from life...expose yourself to all the arts...expose yourself to art school if you can. you will get anywhere you want if you work hard and are persistant. keep working at it and enjoy it. if you enjoy it you will do well (as anthony tells me).

best of luck

in house means they want you in the building. you can't rightly be at home and in the building unless you don't pay rent and live at your job. in which case, they'd probably fire you. or something.

Thanks for all the great submissions...we got some really great ones. If I didnt reach you back, I want you to know that we are keeping all submissions on file and will make a decision sometime in Jan.

you all are really doing well at your art. I wish you the best regardless....
