Hi there, i was wondering if someone could help me out, i am searching for a good fur or hair tutorial. I want to paint hair on a animal sketch i have. So if you know a good tut for it, please let me know!

There are no special brush settings really... I tend to change them as I work. Some of the underlying brushes are done with a small feathered brush with the "fade" turned on so I can make sure they are all the same length. The ones over the top are just done using pressure sensitivity with my tablet, no fade.

I like this chick a lot, and this particular tutorial is for human hair so I don't know if this will be as helfpful to you. I think the techniques she uses would work very well for fur or short hair, just take the pressure down to around 70 instead of 85, and use shorter strokes (same length as the hair). I've never thought about it till now, but I bet fur might be easier because you don't have to follow huge lengths of hair -- shorter swipes with the smudge tool are easier to keep uniform when it comes to hair.

'Course, it helps if you have something pressure-sensative. One of these days I'm going to do something with just my mouse and see how different it is.
