I suppose you want us to comment on these paintings, right?
I like Hans Hoffman's works, and some of those you posted are good, because of the colour and composition, especially in the first and the second pic. However, the third pic looks kinda like a dirty palette to me, but at least the thin brush strokes added some variation and structure to the colour fields.
The last one I didn't like. It is the only one that doesn't look like the rest of the paintings. Obviously you can see the cubist influence, and how it is imitating real life objects (it's a still life with a vase, as far as I can see). The colour seems morbid, and it makes me feel claustrophobic.
The last one was one of his earlier paintings, no wonder it's different than the rest of them.

I recently got familar with Hans Hoffman. Evidently he had had quite an impact on many of the great american artists. many of which tried to get away from cubism for the rest of their lives. I saw the film by Emile di Antoni a while back. A documantary he did in th sixties I think with all the big guys in it. Willem De Kooning, Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Robert Rauschenberg
I really recomend it. Called Painting Painters
