are you literate? can you read me the name of this part of the sijun forums? why did you post this in the work in progress part of the forums? why can't you read a FAQ? why do you expect others to solve your problems? why do you need to use all caps? poor baby... |

Unlike you i read a majority of the topics in here and if you did too you would notice that a few of the recent topics are having problems linking pics to this forum. One reply posted that Geocities does not allow linking. So dick, i posted this hoping both that someone would help me and that others having the same problem would be helped as well. So before you run your mouth get a little more info. And if you dont like the topic ignore it, nobody needs you to come talk sh*t. Need a freakin smiley givin the finger. |

its really unneccessary for you to get so indignant. vesuvius is completely right, this is work in progress. i seem to be missing the part of your post that includes some kind of work in progress. also, if you read the forum as you claim, you would know that this topic arrises frequently. your ignorance is not giving people a good impression of you. |

I have read through posts up to the 6th page and saw nothing that helped on this topic. I dont deny the fact that this topic may belong elsewhere but i am not one who sits idle while others attack me. In case you havnt noticed im relatively new to this forum. A simple "This topic does not belong here" would have been sufficient. An attack on my literacy and utter disrespect towards me was definitely NOT needed. Or better yet a little help on the subject could have been given. After all isnt that what the forums are for? And if you look a little further down the line youll notice i posted 2 topics attempting to get my images posted here. Help could have been applied there as well. As for impressions the lack of patience shown in this topic alone is not giving me a very good impression about this forum or should i say the people involved in it. |

Here, have some help: Rename your images extensions to .txt, then post them as you normally would. HOORAY, in-line images from Geocities. Amazing this trick still works to be honest. Now, let's end the hate, kthx? |

hehehehehe
funny angry people
Now then;
have you checked in digital art discussion? I posted a topic on this very matter not three weeks ago, and it's not a very high traffic forum. That's generally where topics like this go anyway and this one will likely be moved when one of the mods cruises by. IN any case, try changing the file extention to ".txt" and linking to it. I haven't had much luck with that, but I know people who use it all the time, so I dunno.
-edit- note to self: remember to refresh the forum once in a while, then you won't look like such a twonk.

I've tried that too with no luck, also it seems you'll get the same problem with angelfire and tripod.
There's got to be a way so I will keep trying. |

Anyone who's been using geocities or angelfire have been having this problem. I just read the .txt thing on one of Cos's threads in the Finished Work. Cos tried the .txt and it still didn't work.
All I can say is just make a page with all your pictures on it and post the link.
Try this server:
FreeServer
I don't know if they will allow you to link you pics, but heck it's worth a shot.

I use homestead. No FTP that I've found for uploading, but speed wise for a free service there pretty hopping.
Give it a shot.

Try this>> Comix Matrix, the only thing is you can't upload work upwards of 500 pixels in width and they tag all your work on the top with that stupid 'www.comixmatrix.com' tag. They also have to be jpegs but it's better than nothing and for setting up so easy and fast it serves as a good temporary site for your art and image linking. Later. |

i recently had the same problem, constantly searhcing for a server to meet my needs, geocities wanst any good, so i went to the seemingly perfect brinkster, but oh no, it has a limited bandwidth.
finally i saw that somebodys url to their site here at sijun was to gameart.com, for me this was perfect, and they are a terrific host.
what i suggest is to look at what the other people are using to successfully post their images. certain hosts (like gameart.com) are restricted to a type of art, some i have seen for fantasy/scifi, and others for just watercolor. search around those and find what suits you best. |
