otherwise known as my family... Have you ever been in a situation where people walk all over you all the time but you're not the kind of person who wants to push back? Don't get in that situation. Tends to burn all your nerves out.

And try having zero room or privacy to ever get anything artistic done when that's the kind of person you are...

Yep, it is time to move out! Woohoo!

you can always alienate your family, it's really quite an art. Start to write strange words like "jibloobilgerdanger" on pieces of paper and tape them around the house in strange places like on the bottom of tables. Or you could dress up as a different Shakespeare character everyday and quote Hamlet repeatedly. If you dont have a human skull, a cantalope serves as a good substitute...

Not like I accually do these things myself,I just endorse them, (sort of like coca cola, it's not like the CEO drinks his own product, I'm pretty sure you could learn to hate such a thing, after making a careeer out of it, of course there is Faust...) I'm sure if I diddnt have a room to myself I'd go insane as well (as if I havent already).

now that was one big run-on oohoahoaoAAaoaaahh....

(edit) i spelled SHAKESPEARE wrong, and i'm obsessive compulsive....

the_monkey: we need to talk.

yea.. my parents respect my time in the office working on art, and don't ever call me off the computer unless they need to do something business-related. Either that or "come up sometime to eat!" In fact, they should be hollering at me anytime now..

My approach to this whole thing is to simply avoid them whenever possible and not rude. I go upstairs occasionally to talk and hang out, because you gotta talk to your parents once in a while. It's only human.

But next year's college, and even though I'm planning on staying at home, If i can manage, I'll find a roommate, gather up Sparkle, a piece of paper, a pencil, an eraser, and a few changes of clothes, and I'm outta here.

I consider myself a pretty mellow person, so I don't often raise my voice at my fellow housemates, only when nevessary. I've tried that this year especially.. just take it easy and when necessary discuss it. They'll respect you more like that. After all, they're used to talking to other 'adults' (shudder) about conflicts or something.

You try living with friends, youll soon hate them I did and ran home to mummy. They took my washing powder and had more sex and knew more about music and could cook and one of them killed their next door neighbor.
This is true. He came home pissed on night and decided to wake up a friend by launching into a song that involved drums, guitars with distortion etc very suddenly. The next day he found out the neighbour had had a heart attack in the night!

you are kidding. Heart attack?=????? Anyway, I'm pretty tired of living at home my self. I have my own iving area, and don't get mush bothered from the others living in my house. But when mum hasn't recived enough help cleaning and everything, there is loads of shouting and stuff. Looking forwar to moving. Then she will see how much I actually do. Only 4 months to go.

Yeah there has been an escalating tension between my mother and I also want to move out, last night I didn't put the dishes in the dishwasher the correct way, the dinner plate was slightly off kilter and it was blocking the water from hitting the tea spoon in the spoon rack. My response to her little episode was "Why don't you cry about it"

yeah... what the hell is it with moms and cleaning anyway? the way I always figure it is this -- I have no problem keeping myself clean (or occasionally choosing to let things slide, heh) -- but when you get a bunch of people together, wham! trouble...

I guess all people should live alone.
