so i bought a nec. 19 inches (18 viewable) for about 400 canadian. (300 american)
was this a good deal? did i get ripped off? |

Nah, NEC makes a decent display, assuming it hasn't got an off-brand tube in it. If the picture's good, then you did just fine. |

Well, I should qualify my statement I guess . . . $300 is about going rate as long as we aren't talking about a refurbished monitor. You can get cheaper displays (I've seen no-name 19"s going for $175 us), but the picture quality on generic tubes, with crappy interconnects, is often not good enough for art purposes. |

i havent yet bought my new computer- so i havent seen how it looks. (i would hook it up to this one, but its a long boring story)
