Craig has updated his site with the Final Fantasy images. Great stuff, even though I didn't like the movie, Spooge always shines, and once again shows why he's one of our favorite 21st Century aritsts(although I like the sketches better usually): http://www.goodbrush.com/ |

Wow, that's a great update from Spooge. Lots of closeups and base-renders. Excellent stuff.
(personal favourites are the 'dsr' series - the green landscapes of the alien home planet)

I'm so out of the loop... I didn't even know he was working on that flick. I never saw it, but I'll have to now that I know he's done the mattes for it. Nice work, as always. I thought he was working on that Car Whores thing |

it's true inspiration. everytime i look at really great paintings such as that, i get a kind of adrenaline rush to go paint something!
then, after about 10 minutes in photoshop i realise (again) how hard it is, and the rush is over
but it was 10 minutes of heaven! |

Have you seen what size the original pic must've been?? Take the first image. The first close up is 800 px wide. That close up is shrunk to 94 px wide in the full image. The original must've been about 10k pixels wide...
Do most pro's work to that sort of size?? |
