This was on another board that i go too.. but I think it fits better here.

What in life really fascinates you?

For me its a few things.

The ending of summer days. Not the sun setting... none of that BS... but just the whole close of the day. The colors in the sky... right as the day finishes.. and a cooler breeze flows in... I love it.. I could live the rest of my life in the few minutes it takes for a day to close. Normally I hate endings... (Every new begining comes from some other beginings end) But ther are inevitable, so why not enjoy them.

The air has this smooth clean feeling and everything has this relaxed look ti it.. like everything is going to be ok...

Out side of that.. The human mind fascinates me.. I used to do a lot of research on social structures.. And I played a lot of mind games to see how people reacted ( I regret that now).. but I love the mind.. its like taking an advernture and forgetting about the map..

Lava lamps

Actually, what really fascinates me is when a storm is on the rise. The contrast between the bright green tree tops and the dark clouds on the horizon. The cool air and the pockets of warm air that come with the storm. The thunder rolling and lightning lighting up the sky. Reminds you of how insignificant you really are and how dominating mother nature could really be. Eh.. that was pretty deep.

The color of the sky in Virginia City Nevada on a clear day in December.

The sounds of distant aircraft.

Gravity.

Memory.

The human body. Physically.
No, not like that, you pervert.

As I am relatively new to any (organized) physical activity, this past year learning kung fu has been very educational.
The capabilities of the human body just keep amazing me;, we can be put through amazing physical strain and yet function properly the next day. And the plain amount of muscles, tendons, bones and nerves present in a human are mind-boggling. I was never aware of all the things this fat carcass of mine is capable of if properly motivated and taught. In just a year I'm capable of bending in to shapes I thought were physically impossible.

The human body in motion is a beautiful thing. Truly a work of art. I have a new appreciation for ballet dancers and athletes in general.

That's the first thing that popped to my mind about what fascinates me.

I have to agree with you on this... The body can adapt to almost anything...

This is a bit off.. but I find it interesting.

If someone does heroin, their body adapts to the drug and creats more channels for the chemicals to flow... that is why people have physical withdraw. Its amazing to see the way the body works and why it does those things.. Kinda made me want to be a doctor for a while.

Being outdoors and enjoying certain aspects as mentioned before, stop me in my tracks. Those late afternoon thunderstorms you get there in Florida are stunning when you seem them develop against that deep blue sky. Same with the desert. The colors you see as the sun sets on a storm are...

Here in California, if conditions are right, the late afternoon/early evening of a sunny day is like living in an impressionistic painting. Real cool.

Human hands.
Human disregard for the environment.
Fire.
My wife.

And, oh yeah. Lava lamps! No joke, we just bought one last weekend.

Cheers everyone!

Waldo's right about the hands. Marvelous.
I'm not sur if I'm exactly fascinated by it, but sometimes when I watch TV, I suddenly get the sensation I can 'feel' shapes I see, mostly faces. It's really disturbing, because it's not a normal sensation of any kind. If the brain could sense touch directly, that would be it. Kind of.

I'm fascinated by emotions and feelings. Why we feel the way we do, and how do we feel about them exactly.

I'm fascinated by children. They speak a language we have forgotten. They seem to be having a lot more fun than we are.

I'm fascinated by music, and what it does to me.

I'm fascinated by the way people relate to each other, and how they connect on deeper levels.

I'm fascinated by romance and mystery.

Too many things.

Life itself is fascinating.

Looking through a glass how rain drops fall (when the rain is heavy)

The sunset colors. And the sunrise.

How machines work. Buildings like Eiffel tower.

Versalles.

It's too late, I have to go to bed before I write too many things...

Yay! Good point. Have to agree about ends of days, many times it is the only time the world seems alive and in love in Connecticut. Otherwise quite grey, swampy. Also, seeing the trees swaying a bit when they've been still so long... that's a sight. I love any weather that stirs things up

But people by far are the most fascinating thing to me. Their bodies, their souls, their small talk, their adventures... and how they get annoyed when I'm staring at them. j/k

I love the rain. I'm not facinated by what it looks like, or what it does, it's just the atmoshpere of purity is unlike anything else on earth. A heavy rain shower is the most alien environment for me, and that facinates me, that it can be so beautiful, the smell, the warmth despite the chill water, everything. Nothing beats it.

The human eye, too. To sit and look into the eye of a beautiful girl and just look at all the colors and lines and textures. So yeah, that facinates me.

chemical structure drawings- the beauty of symmetry and mathematics- the way a waterbottle looks when light goes through it-
the fact that music is more than instruments playing- power- ignorance- intelligence, knowledge- fear- the ability some people have that makes others feel important and understood- time- my girlfriend and the strange fact that I can miss someone without feeling alone at the same time- stormy days with lots of rain, the power of nature- hatred- the truth- human behavior-

just too many to be listed.

I agree on the Universe. Seeing pictures of all the nebulae(Plural?) and the amazing, beautiful formations, and how stuff can exhist like it does.

The most facinating enchanting thing is the warm summer bright moonlit nights. Being able to see the stars and running around in the warmth. I grew up out in the country, and no I have never gone cow tipping.
*feels nostalgic*

The Wind... because it's force which hasn't got any visible physical presence.

It can pick up and move things, push people over (and carry them 50 metres kicking and screaming, attached to those damn Golfing Umbrellas), knock down just about anything. Yet is not even there.

and...Music.

and...women

and..toothpicks (brilliant little invention this...)

and...sunsets

and...file sharing programs that work

and...the fact that dishes don't wash themselves

and...how few times it takes to use the word "and" to annoy people.
