It has been some time since I last posted any artwork here and there is a good reason for it. I cannot seem to find a place to host my images. I used to use Geocities, but as many of you well know, it no longer allows users to create outside links to sites like these for images.
Do any of you know of any places where I might store my images so that I might participate in posting artwork again? I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks again, and I hope to be posting soon.

I have the same trouble, I even can't visit geocity! Why don't sijun forum set up its own ftp? I know, that may bring lots of trouble.
But I think a forum as popular as sijun should think about this promlem. |

Hey Mister Owl I can help you. you can have a free gallery on my site, unfortunately I have to update it manually since I don't have any programming skills to make it automatic. Anyhow send me over your artwork and choose a user name for your web address example: www.DrawingBook.com/misterowl/
try to keep your large pieces of artwork about 500kb and Maxium of 630 width in pixels.
And thumbnails about 20min-250max pixelwidth
Hope I can help(your posted artwork sorta helps my site get more attention so it's kewl)
Later Dude!

Hey cool. So you can provide hosting for me aswell? art related of course.
Get some help for automatic uploading, it will save you trouble, and I'm sure ppl will help you with it. Personally I have a general idea of how to do it, but I don't think I actually could get it to work satisfactorily. Maybe you could post a topic here... |

Wasn't there a way to host pics on geocities? I remember it was like httpf:\\<site> or something like. Does it still work and what was it? |

Yeah!
Send me over your artwork. Choose a user name and password and place that in your email.
You can include a text bio, your contact information, tell me whether or not you want a free counter on your page. Include your photo or perhaps a self portrait for the bio page.
At a later time if/when I get a programmer I'll be having alot of dynamically added content like top scoring member pages, game scores and other cool things I have planned.
*I should also note*: IF you are to send me art and photos. please submit them one at a time since my file size is limited via my web host. Try to keep your finished large images under 500k-2mb's and must be 630 pixel width or less, the height can be as large as your file size conforms.
That's all, I think !

Thank you all for your help. I will attempt to make use of this "freewebspace.com."

I appreciate your offer. I'll get in contact with you soon about if whether or not I'll take you up on it. You've been really helpful.
I really miss posting, and since geocities went hay-wire, I sort of lost interest in seeking other means to post until know...just lazy I guess. Hopefully I'll soon be receiving all sorts of great critiques from this forum again. Until then, take care and thanks a lot! |
