I'm trying to find a web page of a particular oil-artist. Here's what I remember;
. His web page was something really obvious like 'www.art.com'.
. He painted in traditional methods where he does it all in grey first, and then adds colors later, all in oil paints.
. A single painting could take months.
Ring any bells?

I seem to remember mostly still-lifes and portraits on his site, so I'd have to say no on that.
It's driving me nuts, cannot find him!

I think the site you are looking for is www.1art.com . It's got a fairly nice tutorial on the "old masters'" technique of oil painting, which was kind of useful when I was looking into oils a couple of months ago.
