Does anyone here use a 9x12 tablet or larger?
I use a 9x12 Intuos and it comes with not only the pen, but a "4D" mouse as well. Now, normally I would think this was cool, but I've found absolutly no use for this gadget. Other than running it back and forth across the tablet to see that it really does move the cursor around on my screen. This thrilled me for about a second. Therefore it has sat useless ever since. I don't like useless things. I've heard that you can somehow set it up to be a "button box". Is this useful? Do you know what I'm talking about? Am I crazy? A loon? Do any of you guys know of a good use for this little thingamabob? Let me know if ya do.
Take it easy.

I'm pretty new to this, and I usually hang out at the Quake3world editing forums, but, from what I've seen posted by the more experienced tablet skinners/textures, the mouse is fairly useless. Also, from what I've heard, it wears down the tablet a bit quicker.
I could be wrong, though. |

The 4D mouse is rather useless in my oppinion. It's collecting dust in my paper tray. The only use I found for it is to entertain my mind for very short amounts of time, slapping it across the pad to watch it glide, ... |

I own an Intuos 12"x12", and I too deem the 4D mouse quite useless. Mostly because it doesn't lie well in the hand, I much prefer my Infrared Logitech mouse. And if I paint /have the tablet placed in fron of my computer, I use it for navigating anyway. |

Bleh. You all and your big tablets.... "It's not how big it is, it's how you *use* it". Sorry, couldn't resist. The 4D mouse is useless.... my old job had me working on a big wacom. My arm started hurting after a couple months because I ended surfing with my tablet. Damn thing was a big mouse pad (me hugs my 6x8). |
