If its a Trust whatever Pad its not a Wacom
Perhaps you might need some time to get into it, but perhaps the pad just isnt as good as an original wacom pad. I am really satisfied with mine :-/

Could you be a bit more specific about what is different from your expectations? Personally I own an Intuos, so I can't really talk about other tablets, but I seriously doubt that another tablet is soo infinitly worse than the Intuos that one could be disappointed with it.
Also, you're messing up brands, Wacom is only the Grapphire, Artpadz and Intuos series(which all rule)
Of course it's not completely like pencil and paper, but in my opinion it's about as close as it comes. If the texture is too smooth for you, try putting a piece of paper over it, so the pen moves more similar to a pencil on paper.
It is a quite weird feeling at the beginning though, so just play around some and you wont give it away for anything in the world(except, of course, an Intuos )

Also, just because you have installed a tablet does not mean that Photoshop is using it properly. If, for example, you select the paintbrush and the STYLUS option is set to OFF, then the pen will draw like the mouse in that there will be no varience in the line width or the opacity based on the pressure you apply with the pen. Make sure you have STYLUS turned on for the options you want for each tool. |

The cost savings for non-Wacom brands is just not worth the fact that proggies will not support it as well as a Wacom. Go Wacom Intuous! I can't possibly help you...see how Painter does.
