okay so here's the big question, what software is used to create animated sprites that are used in 2d games? IE: Old SNES, Genesis and Gameboy and Game Boy Advanced.. |

Much old school game art was done with Deluxe Paint/Deluxe Animator. Some people still swear by it. |

I know a lot of ppl nowadays use Pro Motion by Cosmigo (www.cosmigo.com). Its pretty good actually. Try it out.
There is of course also programs like
Deluxe Paint (yes, old, but still works fine)
Aura (by Newtek .. has layers and stuff like that)
Gfx2 (I used it a lot before, nice.) |
