Heya everyone... I'm a newbie . The second I began to scour the forum and see everyone's works, i became convinced that talent was found on this site and this site alone. I got a few questions:
A. I'm mainly a website designer but sites and graphics go interchangably-- any tips or tricks?
B. Currently my project is to design a web page for a Medical Radiology Clinic- i was planning to learn some flash to creat one neat introduction er something and its gotta be simple-- how long does flash take to learn? i already have fireworks and it might be similar. if it takes a while, anyone willing to slap together a quick, simple, but professional thingy for West Volusia Medical Imaging?
Anyway thats about it for now-- thanks ahead of time for any help you got. |

dude, its not cool to ask others to do your work for you. how would you learn anything? and you sound like a manager or client when you say "slap together" like itll take 5 mins. as for question A, thats probably the most vague question ive ever heard.

Thanks a lot, man. As for my first question, It wasnt meant for people like you-- for people who have a brain i was looking for something like "keep it simple" except not so obvious. fer the second on, you realize i ASKED how long it takes to do flash? i said slap together because i really dont think it would take a long time, but thats the reason i ASKED how long it took. for you, the answer would just be NO. you dont have to be a wise ass you know. i said i was planning on learning flash anyhow okay? thanks for the heads up... not. |

yea, sorry guy. im usually more helpfull i swear=) i really didnt mean it to come off as that rude, but your questions are vague. im a traditionally trained artist who got into web design within the last 4 or 5 years. so i can probably answer specific questions if you have any. |

In the time you spent posting this thread you could have done something "simple".
You can learn the basics of Flash and some actionscript in maybe 2 hours or so [if you are intelligent]. Though you will need to invest much more time if you wanna do some heavy action scripting.
Though for interfaces the scripts shouldn't be too difficult.
Seems like you mainly worry about the intro, which would be linear with no interactivity I suppose? In that case you pretty much don't need much scripting at all and most can be achieved with tweens...
btw, if you don't want responses like Roundeye's then care a little about how you word things. It doesn't matter what you say, it's all about how you say it and "if it takes a while, anyone willing to slap together a quick, simple, but professional thingy for West Volusia Medical Imaging?" sounds pretty lame. Anyways, I hope I could help you. |
