what is the best way to color greyscale pic? (I wanted to set the values right). For some reason i didn't find multiply option on the brush very comfortable.. :I

I'm no expert by any means, but have you tried setting the layer options to multiply instead of the brush options? That might help you out quite a bit.

Heh, or set the layer mode to "color".
In any case, yeah, create another layer on top of your grayscale image, and do your coloring there. |

.... but actually I've found that working with layer blending set to 'overlay' gives better results. In the end you might want to combine seveal different layer modes - overlay, color and lumiosity. Good luck
