Finally made some time to pull the next section together. Because of the diskspace this is taking I may have to rethink the file sizes and resolution. We'll see.

This section is on LINE and the importance of Drawing, composition and picture design.
Very good stuff, don't miss it.
BTW, these first three sections, LINE, TONE and COLOR are probably the most valuable things about the book. They cover everything that Spooge, Ron Lemen, Jason Manley and all of you others have been talking about in good picture-making.
EDIT
>Sorry - Tripod shut me down for "Remote Loading"; that was quick.<
EDIT
>All pages for this chapter are now at myspace.com in a shared folder. This is a temporary solution until I can get this all to a single site. The pages are in 3 zip files - 2.5megs, 2.8megs and 3.6megs respectively. Some of the pages have been reduced 50% in size to keep the zip files remotely reasonable in size for those of you with dial-up connections. Try downloading 1 file at a time even tho' you can supposedly download multiple files. Shared file pw is -- loomis_ci
link to shared files -- http://www.myspace.com/Folders/24876405/
EDIT
Hi-res pages/files are temporarily at idrive.com http://www.idrive.com/ visit quaternius and go to "storage" where you should see all the high-res files for download.

NOTE: both myspace and idrive will require you to sign up (free)
It may take a little time but I'll get this sorted out.

For those of you who want to go an get the first section:

Great job so far! I'm sure we'll all enjoy this very much, and learn a lot in the process. How great is that?

Man-o-man; Tripod and Angelfire suck.
Sorry about the 404. Didn't think they'd yank my site for this, but live and learn I guess.
I'll try to upload this to myspace.com and give you folks a password.
Unless someone is aware of free servers that don't take you off for file storage like this. I'm open for suggestions.

Realizing this may create more work and ducking to avoid the fruit barrage...
How feasible is it to rotate the sections that are on the main site? Say a week or so at a time...? If someone misses a week... well, then in X number of weeks (determined by the number of sections you post, or are in the book) they can get back to it, or hope some other soul (if I had my sites up I'd definitely do it) will post up zips or such...

Just my, aw hell, anyone know how much two cents translates into these days?

Derek -
Thanks for the comment. I may end up doing the rotation thing anyway 'cause the next few sections are gonna require photo-quality rather than mostly black and white images.
I'm guessing 30-40megs each - combined zips and individual files - for the next sections.
I'm looking at a number of options, but cheap (read "free") and time-saving are at the top of the list.

Try http://www.critical-depth.net/signup.asp for hosting, they might have unlimited space I think.

Thanks for the critical-depth recommendation and link, I'll see if it'll work for this.

Oh my sweet god, MySpace sucks worse than a snowman in a prostitute academy.

Please do not use that place anymore.
I hope critical-depth works out for you, but if not, stick with idrive. That one, at least, doesn't flood you with pop up advertisements.

Otherwise, good job

Sorry about the Myspace. I'll move that stuff to idrive too. I now have to wait until critical-depth decides to add more members; I'm afraid I got shut out when they closed the new memberships.

Unfortunately that means I'm going to have to issue this book on a rotating basis. Next section on Tone will be up sometime this month. I'll keep you all posted.
