Have you got a link to this thing you speak of? I'd like to see it.

I've often theorized that a canvas-sized LCD screen that doubles as a tablet is the optimal form of digital painting.
Have you all seen the information on the Sony VAIO and, if so, could this be used for digital painting? Step in a bold new direction or simple gimick?
Best,

When I watched that commercial, I said "Damn, that's cool" out loud. But I wouldn't buy one, I would spend the money on a bigger monitor or something. |

Wacom makes the LCD screen for sony. It is pressure sensative. Though I have not found out how much. Wacom own LCD unit is only 256 levels and is not as sensative as the Intous. Neat Idea though. Would be nice to have the screen wireless so you could sit anywhere and draw. |

Here's a link, http://www.sonystyle.com/vaio/pentablet/index.html
I saw it advertised in Canada for about $4000 or $5000
It's a great idea, but I think I'll wait a few years until the whole computer is inside the size of a 19 inch flat panel for $2000 |
