Yeah umm...I jus wanted to know if somebody out there could please tell me where there is a demo version of Maya........or better yet the full version at a very very very low price.

Order the free CD...even though I'm halfway around the world (almost) from them I had it after a few days...

a lot, the cheapest student version you can get is still close to $1,000

There are actually 3 versions of Maya available:

Maya Builder $2500 - targeted towards game development with simple animations and level building

Maya Complete $7500 - all-around package that usually satifies most users

Maya Unlimited $17,500 - everything plus the kitchen sink

You can find more information about the specific packages at Alias|Wavefront's website.

The student version of Maya Complete will cost you around $1000, but it is only a 1-year license, and you must be a full-time registered student.
