Welcome to UBB Version 6.0

Sorry for the extra down time.

PLEASE NOTE: forums have a new URL:
http://www.sijun.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Please update your bookmarks AND and links you may have on your homepage. Please also just pass on this info to anyone you know that visits here.

Theres a bunch of new features, explore around and check it out, see what you think. Posting images is finally gonna be easier , there is also personal messaging, a member rating system (use this for conduct not art quality )

hehe...I havent even explored it all myself yet, but it seems pretty cool. Let me know if it feels slower or faster or the same.

Theres some new grafix and icons, i'll be changing those out to match the page better throughout the week. Please let me know if there is any problems.

enjoy,
-dhab

Good to see it back. Looks sweet so far, albeit a bit slower. Still trying out the new stuff....

You know what would be good ? If you could change the rating you gave about someone, in case your opinion on that person changes. Examples come to mind like Moongoose. It would kinda suck to have him at 5 stars all the time

ummm...that's strange. Threads which get replied to don't get automatically pushed to the top of the list....

is it supposed to be like that?

There are a lot of things to complain about... there always are. The forums are bound to be a bit... bug-riddled in the beginning. Some stuff we will not like as much as we liked them in the old version...

But truth to be told - there will ALWAYS be stuff to complain about where everything is concerned. If we stop complaining and instead try to offer something constructive to the forum, I'm sure everything will work out.

Yeah, I know - I sound like such a ...err...bore, but for once I'm in a good mood and I think the forum can be salvaged. Things were pretty bad just before it disappeared - let's not allow it to slide back into that again.

I don't come here for what the forums look like - I come here for the contents.

This version of ubb seems a lot better.

Enayla: It really wasn't my intention to complain about minor faults in that forum. I'm in a happy mood since the forums are back up and we have the first day of summer here.
My intention was more constructive than destructive. Reporting bugs.... Just to let Dhabih know. He might say: "Really? Oh, that wasn't supposed to work like this. But I know how to change it."

Hey! All new and shiny! Thanks Dhabih! I have to admit - I checked every day (sometimes even twice) to see if the forums were open again ...
And so much new stuff - must have been a lot of work getting it running again. It's like: Daddy installed a new jungle jim in the garden, so the kids can play even nicer ...

The little vacation did us all well too, I think ... at least I feel a lot calmer now

Thanks again,

Loki

Sometimes when I can't think of what to draw or want to look for inspiration I check out the forums. These past few days I tried looking elsewhere only to realise once again how freakin' cool this forum is. So glad it is back up.

Someone wrote in my highschool yearbook that if I ever have trouble trying to think of something to draw, draw naked chicks. I have to admit that usually works...but not so much after I got married.

Hey, great to see the forum back up and looking good. It's definatly a lot slower in Netscape than it used to be. I think IE is fine though. Thanks for all hard work you've invested in this place Dhabih.

I say we have a forum-wide contest.

Whoever can draw the best (most original, highest quality, aesthetically pleasing) graemlins, involving all of the instant variety, gets to have them used as the offical icons.

The lack of shading is distracting.

Cool, well, like i said in the original post, i haven't touched the new icons to make them shaded like the other ones, that will be happening soon, also all the aliasing on the icons looks stupid right now, but again thats cause i havent edited them. Forums are quite a bit slower for me too (since i still use netscape), i'll try to figure out why. It might just be a server thing.
