to put it as blunt and short as i can..
if i wrote (as i am at the moment) an article-like one issue column thingie about my work, photoshop, textures, life, universe, everything, photoshop, more photoshop, my work, and so forth, what would be the things that you'd want to read from it?
i'm writing it in a rather chaotic manner (i hate bythebook casual text so i'll just write it like i write here, sans mock and profanity) and it's got totally random (photoshop/my work related) topics in it in no specific order and yadda dadda. i'm doing it for some god damned photoshop site that alexdg fella's running. i don't even really know what the site is :P but it doesn't matter. it should prove useful in alot of ways to people, especially to those who are new to the thing and so forth.
so, what would you like to see in it? what kind of text? what kind of topics? hints tips and help and explaining and low level philosophy of photoshop and textures blablabhaaaahblablablah and so forth are in it..

I would like to see an example of how you created a texture for anything specific you have worked on or are currently working on.

kig: yes
bradford: well the very first thing in it (after introduction text) is talk about the gear thing, talk bout texture stuff, and so forth, i will have alot of close-ups, explanations, channel examples, different in-progress stages, yadda dadda. =) (my god i can hardly wait for the first rippers..)
edit; i will also have examples and so forth and text and talk and blablabla about some of my older works too, worry not.

hmm, how to work quickly in photoshop (dunno if this goes in the low-level yadda yadda), using the keyboard and whatnot to speed up your work, spacebar+alt+ctrl+shift tricks, general stuff, creative use of masks, channels and wtf do you need them for, stroking your kitty with the path tool and how to fake something done in five minutes to look like it took hours. |

How to lead a wholesome, happy life?
:-P
heheh jk...
if you do make some sort of massive tutorial thing, if you want to make something that lots of people will absolutely love, just do an in-depth tutorial, with illustrations, of, say, how you did the gear thing. Start from zero, and explain each step properly, and everybody will love you for it :-)

werd. i'll propably have to read this thread when i get back to work or home or where-ever (i'm at a friends place and loaded with 8 sixpacks of beer waiting for devourment..)
yeah, i will DEFINITELY do alot of "things to NOT do and things to avoid and do NOT do this or that" kind of things to it, alot of them... startingm with eye candy 3.0 fire and lensflares. :P
but yeah, i will talk alot about the gear thing and have alot of examples and descriptions and so forth out of it and yadda dadda.. should prove rather useful to people.. if they have any brain at all. (although i guess that's just too much to ask from the kids around "here"..)

You're already tackling a lot of the things about PS that mystify me, so rather than trying to cram in every topic you can think of, why not just make what you say about them thorough and definitive? I can see it now: The End-All Be All Guide to Everything (Important) by Jussi Kuusi.

so what does that have to do with anything?
the posts amount you see on the left is updated in the thread you're looking at every time someone posts something to it; in other words the html file itself is updated. it's not a dynamic thing.
