Hi ppl.
I'm pretty pissed off right now. I drew a couple of cartoon pics for this guy to use on his website. I did a half assed job of them, but he seemed satisfied. He promised to pay for a domain name for me and host my site in return. So now he's dissappeared, his email doesnt work and he is never online.
I don't really care about the images, they were really shit anyways, but it's the principle of the matter that is really pissing me off.
Is there any way of having a legal contract to assure any deals done over the internet? Has anyone done any commission work over the internet? How are we supposed to protect ourselves?
Well, from now on I'm gonna be a harsh cynical bastard. So pissoff to all you bitches that steal art. I know you're lurking around here.

Discretion is the better part of valor.
blah...blah...blah.
Attempt To:
Get More In writing. Get tangible address. Get tangible company name (if in US, get Tax ID# - Required to be a business). Get times, dates places and 50% up front. Get something as partial payment, prior to all work being delivered.
IMHO - from Experience (not Art - put print / layout work)
