Who can redraw one of thess characters from the waiste up and make it look like it's trying to crawl out of the "MONITOR" on my new interface?

you can't put it on your personal site, regardless if someone redraws it for you (which i doubt) or not-

so waht about all those gamesites for quake/unreal tournament etc...?

they all use gfx from the game...same here...I don't see the problem really.

Those sites (planetquake, planethalflife, ..) are dedicated to one game and support it by advertising news about it, offering mirror server for patches and the like. They are run by Gamespy Industries are in contact with the Producers of the Game and part of their legal disclaimer is:

Intellectual Property Infringement Claims:

It is the policy of GameSpy Industries to respond expeditiously to claims of intellectual property infringement. GameSpy Industries will promptly process and investigate notices of alleged infringement and will take appropriate actions under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and other applicable intellectual property laws. Upon receipt of notices of sites not complying or substantially complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, GameSpy Industries will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to any material claimed to be infringing or claimed to be the subject of infringing activity, and will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to any reference or link to material or activity that is claimed to be infringing. GameSpy Industries will terminate access for subscribers and account holders who are repeat infringers.

If you are talking about private fan sites: the fact that many do it does not make it legal, its however tolerated because those people bought the game and are advertising it with their fanpage.

What you have up there on your site however is basically a warez-FTP and not a fanpage of some game.

I am running out of time...my site is not a warez site by the way! It's a fanpage about "Amiga emulation".

Well you can't expect people to JUMP when you
say jump, perhaps the fastest way is doing
the gfx yourself.

Geduld is een schone zaak.

The orginal copyrights of those characters
should be respected offcourse.

geduld is een schone zaak ja, maar ik ben al maanden met mijn deisgn bezig (ongeveer 4 denk ik) en ik wil hem een keer online hebben.

I just need a small picture for the monitor..is that asking too much?

"copyright".......hum !!! i think it's regarded by most as "if you like it take it", it may not be right but how many ppl actually bother to find out about something being copyrighted or not, i think you'll find the answer is, very few, right or wrong thats life.

And I'm pretty sure the fact that you think copyright is something like "if i am bored then I'll ask, if not then I don't give a fuck" will change as soon as you get the first letter/email sent to you, telling you that you are being sued for copyright infringement.

anyway its narrow minded to believe that nobody will find out or care anyway.
If you would have been around here for some time you would have seen many cases of the exact opposite.

Now you said that sites dedicated to the game have rights to those pics, but what about personal companies using the pictures on there company's web site without permission? That would be illegal right?

thats what I said. its tolerated. that means its NOT legal.
