Although his stuff looks mainly like marker renderings and paintings, I thought he might could share some conceptual knowledge with us. And give us some tips on that subject. I emailed him an invitation to the forum, but no telling how many emails he recieves. Maybe he will answer me before too long. |

Rag,
Thanks for the invitation and the kind words! This is a wonderful forum and I will be back from time to time.
I start my drawings mostly by hands first with pencils, markers and paints, then scanned and finished them using PhotoShop. To me many tasks still can be done much faster by hands so I won't use computers for those. I use computers mainly for tasks that can be done quicker with them such as airbrushing, ultra fine detailing, graphics and web designs. I also do 3D work using Alias/Wavefront Auto Studio. Can't live without computers nowadays.
Most car drawings on my website were done 100% with traditional media, markers, chalks and paints. Watches were done 100% in PhotoShop. Sci-Fi art range from 100% by hands to 80% using computers.

I don't know why, but when I saw his work, my first thought was, "He's going to fill the void Craig left here."
Dunno why. |

Al Yu - Amazing works on your page. Glad to have you with us.
Lunatique - Hehe. You make it sound like Craig is dead.
