I'm applying for an art school, and we got this assignment: (among others)
"(...) visualize excitement"
I've neved been educated in art before, so I need to ask you guys. If I draw a picture of a guy who's really excited about something, for example the second before he jumps off a bridge; will that be a good answer for this problem? Or am I supposed to draw some abstract thing..? Or...?

Stuff like that is totally open. VISUALIZE means by whatever means. You could make some abstract collage that conveys the feeling or do some guy jumping of the bridge. It just have to have excitement.
On these kinda things you can really be as creative as you want [as long as there is a feeling of excitement in there] |

Draw a sketch. look at it. does it say EXCITEMENT! or make you and others feel excited at that moment. if not, try something else. Jumping off a bridge might seem exciting depending on how you approach it.
