"Sniveling little rodents,
multiplying every day,
the long-eared ones are coming,
get on your knees and pray.

Filthy, fluffy creatures,
teeth as sharp as knives,
bunnies taking over,
Run!, Run!, Run, for your lives."

Grain Of Salt by Poisonthewell

Another day passes by
Another attempt at love
Remains unrequited
Why do I even bother?
I should have learned from the past
I am but a statue
Impervious to love
This punctured heart is mine
Becomes a handful of dust
Hope has now wilted away
Along with these dreams
That became emptiness
A final exit becomes clear
I am selfdestructive
A product of this solitude
I am riddled with shards
One simple wish now dies
Was my request so great?
One simple wish now dies
Was my request so great?
Once again I drown in its denial
Was it so complicated?
Once again
I've been
Spit upon
Taken with a grain of salt
My life is

------------------
I am but a statue, impervious to love.

artist: gravediggaz
title : 1-8000 suicide
album : 6 feet deep

So you wanna die, commit suicide
Dial 1-800-Cyanide line
Far as life, yo it ain't worth it
Put a rope around your neck and jerk it
The trick didn't work
Your life was fucked up from the first day of birth
After watching Jackie Gleason walk into a precinct
Gun down the captain for no fucking reason
And get some LSD or a drink from the bar
Get behind your wheel and crash the car
Like Desert Storm, got bombs for the war
confront an alligator, let it eat ya raw
Back to the function, riding the caboose to hell
BZZZZZT touched the third rail.
You fucked up chicken, now you just got fried
Cause it's a suicide

Hey you little rich kid, what's your beef?
Come and tell the Grym Reaper all of your grief
You asked for a Benz and you only got a Jeep
Your pop's got endz, but yo he's mad cheap
Maybe you're a bastard child you think
Mom and dad are white and you're dark as ink
Maybe you're Sicilian with a tan
But you hate lasagna and the pizza man
Now you stand on the grave digga locked and
You're singing the blues about the rough life you've got
Not
You don't wanna live no more
I guess you're really ready for the grave yard tour
When you get home just fill up your windows and you doors
Turn your oven on high for about four hours
Light you a blunt, kiss your ass goodbye
You gassed yourself 'cause it's a suicide

Six fucking devils stepped up playing brave God
Had the fucking nerve to try and enta my grave yard
I'm the Ryzarector, be my sacrafice
Commit suicide and I'll bring you back to life
The first was convinced
Stuck a water hose in his mouth at full blast so his head can explode
Second said hmmmm that's good but I can top it
Put an ax up to his head and then he chopped it
Blood shot out in every direction
The rest didn't know what to do, I made suggestions
Put a slug in your mug, overdose on a drug
Wet your hair stick a knife in the plug
Or be like Richard Pryor set your balls on fire
Better yet go hang yourself with a barbed wire
Three and Four fell deep into spell and
Ran to the zoo, locked themselves in a lion's den
Number Five said it ain't worth being alive
Smoked a dust suede, mixed it with cynaide
The only one to escape was number Six
He went home
Sat in the tub and slit his wrists
Yeah, more graves to dig. Goodbye
There's no need to cry...
... cause we all die

I lived in New Orleans for awhile and this song always reminds me of home.

Ghost of Jackson Square - Edwin McCain
(Enayla: Jackson Square is in New Orleans.. Gambit's stompin grounds cher)

Ghost on the street today
Doorways of Jackson Square
In tinsel and tap shoes
Mardi Gras beads in her hair
Down to the graveyard
She wrung out her hands
As if he will meet her
All day she stands

So don't leave me
And I know you're justified
So don't leave me
'Cause a part of you in me died

We wish ourselves beautiful
We cry in the night
And it's not the love you feared
But the fall from the height
My personal ledges
Afraid to look down
My crepe paper bridges
Enough water to drown

And I see the lonely souls searchin'
But before the heartbreak rose
Draw the curtain

I'm a ghost on the streets today
Surrounded by eyes
I feel them peer through me
And my harlequin disguise
If it makes you feel better
Come join me the while
And there's love in these open arms
Some love in my spirits' smiles

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
RED RIGHT HAND

Take a little walk to the edge of town
Go across the tracks
Where the viaduct looms,
like a bird of doom
As it shifts and cracks
Where secrets lie in the border fires,
in the humming wires
Hey man, you know
you're never coming back
Past the squares, past the bridge,
past the mills, past the stacks
On a gathering storm comes
a tall handsome man
In a dusty black coat with
a red right hand

He'll wrap you in his arms,
tell you that you've been a good boy
He'll rekindle all those dreams
it took you a lifetime to destroy
He'll reach deep into the hole,
heal your shrinking soul
Hey buddy, you know you're
never coming back
He's a ghost, he's a god,
he's a man, he's a guru
They're whispering his name
across the disappearing land
But hidden in his coat
is a red right hand

You ain't got no money?
he'll get you some
You ain't got no car? He'll get you one
You ain't got no self-respect,
you feel like an insect
Well don't you worry buddy,
cause here he comes
Through the ghetto and the barrio
and the bowery and the slum
A shadow is cast wherever he stands
Stacks of green paper in his
red right hand

You'll see him in your nightmares
you'll see him in your dreams
He'll appear out of nowhere but
he ain't what he seems
You'll see him in your head,
on the TV screen
And hey buddy, I'm warning
you to turn it off
He's a ghost, he's a god,
he's a man, he's a guru
You're one microscopic cog
in his catastrophic plan
Designed and directed by
his red right hand

EDIT: Jesus! I had the lyrics to "The Curse of Millhaven" as well, and boy, was it long. Decided to edit some.
Be thankful that I didn't post "O'Malley's Bar" (14min 27sec)

Bugscratch I went out and bought the "Clerks" soundtrack when I was a wee bit younger, heard that Bad Religion song on it. Went down to the record store thinking "Man this is great some new band to check out." Walk down the B aisle, all the way to the front. Flip the Bad Religion section down and mutter, "Jesus Keee-rist..." Upon seeing the 10 - 15 albums sitting there. I LOVE EXPERINCES LIKE THAT!!! It's like when you find a really good book, only to find out that rather than being the 1st or 2nd book the author has written it's the 50th. And you stand there realizing that you just stumbled upon a treasure that will keep you satisfied for a long, long time.

* First Runner Up

Queens of the Stone Age
"The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret"

Well I've got a secret, I cannot say
Blame modern movement to give it away
You've got something I understand
Hold it in tightly, call on command
Leap of faith - do you doubt?
Cut you in, I just cut you out

What ever you do, don't tell anyone (x2)

Look for reflections in your face
Canine devotion that I can't erase
Out on the corner, locked in your room
I never believe them, I never assume

Stuck in belief, there is a lie
Promise is promise, an eye for an eye
We've got something to reveal
No-one can know how we feel

What ever you do, don't tell anyone (x3)
What ever you do, don't tell

I think you already know
How far I'd go not to say
You know the art isn't gone
I'm taking my song to the grave

What ever you do, don't tell anyone (x3)
What ever you do, don't tell

DOWN IN THE PARK
By the Foo Fighters

down in the park where the machmen meet
the machine and play kill by numbers
down in the park with a friend called five
I was in a car crash or was it the war
but i never been quite the same
little white lies like I was there

come to tom-tom's the place to eat
like it was built in one day
you can watch the humans trying to run
oh look, there's a rape machine
i'd go outside if it'd look the other way
wouldn't believe the things they do

down in the park
where the chant is death, death, death
til' sun cries morning
down in the park with friends of mine
we are not lovers, we are not romantics
we are here to serve
different face but the words never change

Chapel: incubus rocks! have you heard of Deep Inside? it's got 2 sweet, sweet, sweet guitar solos. bah, here's my fav song lyric

Artist: Tool
Album: nima
Title: Forty-Six & 2

My shadow's
Shedding skin and
I've been picking
Scabs again.
I'm down
Digging through
My old muscles
Looking for a clue.

I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been.
I've been wallowing in my own confused
And insecure delusions
For a piece to cross me over
Or a word to guide me in.
I wanna feel the changes coming down.
I wanna know what I've been hiding in

My shadow.
Change is coming through my shadow.
My shadow's shedding skin
I've been picking
My scabs again.

I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been.
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic
And insecure delusions.

I wanna feel the change consume me,
Feel the outside turning in.
I wanna feel the metamorphosis and
Cleansing I've endured within

My shadow
Change is coming.
Now is my time.
Listen to my muscle memory.
Contemplate what I've been clinging to.
Forty-six and two ahead of me.

I choose to live and to
Grow, take and give and to
Move, learn and love and to
Cry, kill and die and to
Be paranoid and to
Lie, hate and fear and to
Do what it takes to move through.

I choose to live and to
Lie, kill and give and to
Die, learn and love and to
Do what it takes to step through.

See my shadow changing,
Stretching up and over me.
Soften this old armor.
Hoping I can clear the way
By stepping through my shadow,
Coming out the other side.
Step into the shadow.
Forty six and two are just ahead of me.

Fyi, I copied and pasted this from a lyrics site so there may be some parts written incorrectly

Metallica
Low Man's Lyric

My eyes seek reality
My fingers seek my viens
Theres a dog at your back step
He must come in from the rain
I fall cause I've let go
The net below has rotted away
So my eyes seek reality
My fingers seek my viens

The trash fire is warm
But nowhere safe from the storm
And I can't bear to see
What I've let me be
So wicked and worn
So as I write to you
Of what is done and to do
Maybe you'll understand
And won't cry for this man
'Cause lowman is due
Please forgive me

My eyes seek reality
My fingers feel for faith
Touch clean with a dirty hand
Itouch the clean to the waist
The trash fire is warm
But nowhere safe from the storm
And I can't bare to see
What I've let me be
So wicked and worn

So as I write to you, yeah
Of what is done and to do
Maybe you'll understand
And won't cry for this man
'Cause lowman is due
Please forgive me

So low the sky is all I see
All I want from you is forgive me
So you bring this poor dog in from the rain
Though he just wants right back out again

I cry, to the alley way
Confess all to the rain
But I lie, lie straightto the mirror
The one I've broken, to match my pain

The trash fire is warm
But nowhere safe from the storm
And I can't bare to see
What I've let me be
So wicked and worn

So as I write to you
Of what is done and to do
Maybe you'll understand
And won't cry for this man
'Cause lowman is due
Please forgive me
Please forgive me

So low the sky is all I see
All I want from you is forgive me
So you bring this poor dog in from the rain
Though he just wants right back out again

My eyes seek reality
My fingers seek my viens

One More Day - Diamond Rio

Last night I had a crazy dream
A wish was granted just for me,
It could be for anything
I didn't ask for money
or a mansion in Malibu
I simply wished,
For one more day with you

CHORUS

One more day
One more time
One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again
I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you

First thing I'd do, is pray for time to crawl
Then I'd unplug the telephone
And keep the TV off
I'd hold you every second
Say a million I love you's
That's what I'd do. With one more day with you

CHORUS

Leave me wishing still for one more day
Leave me wishing still for one more day

KISS YOUR SHADOW

by in strict confidence

kiss your shadow
your shadow in the night
arm just one more time
for your last aimless fight
I scream into the falling rain
words Id lost,
but found again

but when the angel returns back into the sky
I will follow him even I have to die
save the darkness let it never fade away
take a seat on the moon
watch the sun turns to grey

kiss your shadow
the shadow in my eyes
trust the outline
an eye never lies
I scream into the falling rain
words Id lost,
but found again

but when the angel returns back into the sky
I will follow him even I have to die
save the darkness let it never fade away
take a seat on the moon
watch the sun turns to grey

Two of my favorite songs lyrics are from Incubus, I completely agree with both and feel the same way, heres a bit of em-

Incubus
Redefine

Imagine your brain as a canister filled with ink,
yeah, now think of your body as the pen where the ink resides.
Fuse the two; KAPOW! What are you now?
You're the human magic marker,
won't you please surprise my eyes?!

Incubus
Make Yourself

If I hadn't made me, I would've been made somehow.
If I hadn't assembled myself, I'd of fallen apart by now.
If I hadn't made me, I'd be more inclined to bow.
Powers that be would have swallowed me up,
but that's more than I can allow.
If you let them make you, they'll make you papier-mache.
At a distance you're strong, until the wind comes
then you crumble and blow away.
If you let them fuck you, there will be no foreplay.
But rest assured, they'll screw you complete til' your ass is blue and grey.
You should make amends with you.
If only for better health.
But if you really want to live,
why not try and Make Yourself?

EDIT: So many lyrics, so little space...

R.E.M.
New Adventures in Hi-Fi

Be Mine

("a speed zone up here too")

I never thought of this as funny
It speaks another world to me
I want to be your Easter bunny
I want to be your Christmas tree.

I'll strip the world that you must live in
of all its godforsaken greed.
I'll ply the tar out of your feathers.
I'll pluck the thorns out of your feet.
you and me.
you and me.

and if I choose your sanctuary
I want to wash you with my hair.
I want to drink of sacred fountains
and find the riches hidden there.

I'll eat the lotus and peyote.
I want to hear the caged bird sing.
I want the secrets of the Temple.
I want the finger with the ring.
you and me.
you and me.
you will see.

that if you make me your religion
I'll give you all the room you need.
I'll be the drawing of your breath.
I'll be the cup if you should bleed.

I'll be the sky above the Ganges
I'll be the vast and stormy sea.
I'll be the lights that guide you inward.
I'll be the visions you will see.

the visions you will see.

you will see.
you will see.
you and me.
you and me.
you and me.

Sleeping Beauty- A Perfect Circle

Delusional
I believe I can cure it all for you dear
Coax a trick or driver
Drive the demons from you
Make it right for you, sleeping beauty,
I truly thought I could magically heal you
We're far beyond a visible sign of your awakening
failing miserably to rescue

sleeping beauty

drunk on me, girl
surely thought I could make it right
if I kissed you one more time
to help you face the nightmare
but you're far too poison for me
such a fool to think that I could
wake you from your slumber
that I could actually heal you

sleeping beauty
poisoned and homeless

far beyond a visible sign of your awakening
failing miserably to find a way to comfort you
far beyond a visible sign of your awakening
hiding from some poison memories

poisoned and homeless
sleeping beauty

Not my favorite song but the lyrics are somewhat humurous

Dreamed I was an Eskimo
Frozen wind began to blow
Under my boots and around my toes
The frost that bit the ground below
It was a hundred degrees below zero...

And my mama cried
And my mama cried
Nanook, a-no-no
Nanook, a-no-no
Don't be a naughty Eskimo
Save your money, don't go to the show

Well I turned around and I said "Oh, oh" Oh
Well I turned around and I said "Oh, oh" Oh
Well I turned around and I said "Ho, Ho"
And the northern lights commenced to glow
And she said, with a tear in her eye
"Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow"
"Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow"

Placebo - Every you, every me
=============================

"Sucker love is heaven sent.
You pucker up, our passion's spent.
My hearts a tart, your body's rent.
My body's broken, yours is spent.
Carve your name into my arm.
Instead of stressed, I lie here charmed.
Cuz there's nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.

Sucker love, a box I choose.
No other box I choose to use.
Another love I would abuse,
No circumstances could excuse.

In the shape of things to come.
Too much poison come undone.
Cuz there's nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.
Every me and every you,
Every Me...he

Sucker love is known to swing.
Prone to cling and waste these things.
Pucker up for heavens sake.
There's never been so much at stake.

I serve my head up on a plate.
It's only comfort, calling late.
Cuz there's nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.
Every me and every you,
Every Me...he

Every me and every you,
Every Me...he

Like the naked leads the blind.
I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind.
Sucker love I always find,
Someone to bruise and leave behind.

All alone in space and time.
There's nothing here but what here's here's mine.
Something borrowed, something blue.
Every me and every you.
Every me and every you,
Every Me...he

Every me and every you,
Every Me...he "

2 songs

1) 3 Libras : by a perfect circle
THREE LIBRAS

Threw you the obvious and you flew with it on your back,
A name in your recollection down among the millions there:
Difficult not to feel a little bit disappointed,
And passed over
But I look right through see you naked but oblivious...
But you don't see me

But I threw you the obvious just to see if
There was more behind
The eyes of a fallen angel eyes of a tragedy

Here I am expecting just a little bit too much from the wounded
But I see, see through it all
See through
See you
Cause I threw you the obvious to see what occurs behind
The eyes of a fallen angel eyes of a tragedy oh well

Oh well apparently nothing apparently
Nothing at all

You don't see me

You don't see me at all

2) This Corrosion - sisters of mercy

Gimme the Ring, kissed and toll'd
Gimme something that I missed (Gimme the ring)
A hand to hold, wild and what it seems(Gimme the ring)
Kill the king, when love is the law,
And the we'll turn round... (Gimme the ring)
Gimme dream child
And do you hear me call? (Gimme the ring)
On the loan and on the level
...still on the floor (Gimme the ring)
Sing dream child
And do you hear at all?

CHORUS
(Sing)
(Sing)
Hey now, hey now now, sing This Corrosion to me
Hey now, hey now now, sing This Corrosion to me
Hey now, hey now now, sing This Corrosion to me
Hey now, hey now now, sing...

Gimme siren, child and do you hear me?
Gimme siren, child, and do you hear me call?
Sing, child, of right and wrong
Gimme things that don't last long
Gimme siren, child, and do you hear me call?

CHORUS

On daze, like this
In times like these
I feel an animal deep inside
Heel to haunch on bended knees
Living on if and if I tried,
Somebody send me... please...
Dream wars and a ticket to seem
Giving out and in
Selling the don't belong
Well, what do you say
D'you have a word for Giving Away?
Got a song for me?
CHORUS

I got nothing to say I ain't said before
I bled all I can, I won't bleed no more
I don't need no one to understand
Why the blood run hold
The hired hand
On heart
Hand of God
Floodland and Driven Apart
Run cold
Turn
Cold
Burn
Like a healing hand
Like a healing hand
Like a healing hand
Like a healing hand

Simpson, Homer Simpson, he's the greatest guy in history!
From the town of Springfield, he's about to hit a chestnut tree!
