Hi guys!
Can anyoen help me out. I've got a UMAX Astra 2000U scanner. Cheaop but fairly good. Now, the problem is, that I cannot remember to save my miserable little life where I put it's power supply. So I want to go to Radioshack and buy a replacement one.
But, there's no indication about the Voltage/Ampere specifics on the scanner itself, so I dunno which powersupply to buy. I already burned one, hehe.
Anyway - can somebody on US soil look at their powersupply of their similar UMAX scanner and tell me??? PLEEEAAASE! I need it - then you guys will get to see all kinds of weird photos from me
Thanks a lot! |

12v DC output I have the same scanner, and I also have a problem with it. The computer doesn't read the scanner, it's powered up. And the USB connection seems fine. I tried re-installoing, sigh. |

above -
Are you on NT, Win2000 or win98, etc.
I had a hellova time getting NT and Photoshop and Painter to recognize my UMAX correctly. Finally had to research the Umax "knowledge base" to figure out I needed to use an older driver version. Maybe same applies to your situation? Just a thought.
Oh yeah, and I have to make sure the scanner is "on" before I start NT or there's problems.
