Hey Pyro! You and me both - first posts around here!
Pyro was a kick! Listening to her commentary on the paintings was great!

example dialog:
Pyro - "That old man in the painting is scarry"
Vis - "I love the feel of this picture"
Pyro - "oh, he is so creepy though"
Vis - "looks like you picked up the feel of it then"

Nice to have you with us =)

Pynk Pyro--how cute. I envision a little girl in a pink bunny suit, with a big flamethrower and a tank of butane strapped to her back, running around, burning everything in sight. . ..

Nooooo, you don't look constipated and mental--maybe just dehydrated and crazy.

You know I'm just joking. I think you are a cutie.

Visionary, you are a riot. Don't you ever stop.

So, kids, what did you learn from the exhibition? Anything valuable?

I definitely have a different vision of "Pynk Pyro"...

Just kidding! Welcome, Visionary and Kindra!

What the heck? Do I want to know what your mental picture is or should I be afraid?

Be verrry afraid.

Man I wish I could go to an exhibit like that. I was in Seattle last year for a few weeks and I love it up there. I'll be going back ASAP.

Lets not share some of those visions ok guys?
Yeah, so what I learned...

For me - I was impressed by these master paintings before me but what I learned from it was this, its not me, I can love it for its talent and its cocky brushstrokes... but I personally cant really learn anything else from it. Its not my style and I dont picture myself doing what he did. I have other plans. Dont get me wrong the guy was great (thats probably an understatement too) at what he did.

What I did learn however was from what I witnessed from the people around me and primarily Lunatique. The man that proved to me you could be macho and a hard ass (all good qualities in this respect) all rolled up with deep feelings and passion for art. I still find myself thinking about it. Call it a revelation point in my life if you will. I've found something else I'd like to eventually bring into my life. I'm talking about the passionate side - the badass was already there =)

Well we did it! well I mean me and the wife.. OOp's I mean we went to the Exhibit.

It was pretty cool, Jyll and I went through it pretty quick about a half hour. Was interesting. There were alot of people in there. A slow moving zoo. Anyhow! I did it and it was fun to play with the little audio recording of the different pieces. There was some large Sketches that were amazing.

Wyatt - glad you enjoyed it! um, well.. how can you not?

So i've gotta comment on those little recording thingies. I didn't get one, because i relly didn't need to; Lunatique probably knew far more than those little recording thingies could hold. It was scary.. seeing those people holding those up to their ears.. like they were recieving messages for another planet, and I was missing out on some message about an invasion. C'mon, i'm serious

Hey, glad you took the time and went!

Um, what you and the Mrs does in your privacy is none of our business. It's a good thing you crazy kids are still going strong though. . ..

Yeah, those audio things were a bit creepy. I probably would've listened to all the recordings if I didn't already read up on Sargent extensively for the past couple of years. . ..

Nova, you would probably find it really funny that on the second day, when I was telling stories about Sargent to my friends while walking around the exhibition, all the people around us started to listen in, as if I was a guide working for the museum! And this happened EVERYTIME I opened my big mouth. . ..
