Just got back from the art store, and no one could think of what I meant by, "You know, it's a sketch pad that's about 50% sepia toned, it's got specks and stuff...looks like newsprint but a lot cooler...for doing...concept sketches and things...you know, right?"

No one had a clue, so if you could clue me in on where you get that paper, or a name of it, brand, or the like...that'd be great

Below is an image made by Feng, using that paper I assume:

How many times do I have to say that?

The brand is FoxRiver, the name of the paper is Confetti, the color is Tan. It comes as loose sheets, not as a sketch pad. And it certainly not made for concept design, haha It's actually a recycled paper. If you go to any BIG paper seller (not your local tiny artshop) you'll find this paper. You can also probably order it from the net.

Actually, it looks EXACTLY like paper that comes in a pad. The paper is photo mount paper and it comes in a black(or Beige) spirl bound pad. It was all the rage at Art Center a few years back with the design kids.
It handles ink and marker like a dream. It also is just dark enough that when you hit hi-lites useing a white colored pencil or a white-out pen, drawings just jump off the page.
I have about 2 dozen of them in a box some where filled with drawings from school.
