Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I have posted 12 new images to the gallery today by Gerald Brom. I will be adding around 10 new Brom images per day this week so make sure you come by and check them out:

PS: These images are displayed with the permission of the artist himself.

Heh... I'm a knob. I recognize most of those images, but never knew who did them. I love the one from Rifts: Africa.

Tell me about it! I didn't know that he did the artwork for Doom II until a few days ago.

Good question Waylon. Maybe he has done more work but it hasn't yet been published in book form thus no new scans? Maybe I will ask him.

He did creature designs for the game, Heretic 2, and has apparently been working on some sort of illustrated story book for a number of years. Definitely be interesting to hear what else he's been up to since Darkwerks though.

He did the creature designs in heretic 2? Hmm. Perhaps I need to play through that game again. It sure was cool...

Lately he also has been working on a number of movies as concept designer (on Blade 2 I think), he's doing a lot of book covers, illustrations for cards (wizard of the coast) and some covers for TSR tabletop games.
He's a very busy man, and I think one of the best artists in the world. Expect to see more and more of him.

Great stuff Eric. Perhaps you could try do a little interview with him if possible? I'd definately like to hear what he has to say.

I think he once drew my grand-grand-grandmother naked, sitting in a large bowl of fruits. (I'll skip the whipped cream part).

Brom is one of my favorite artists but I thought your site was for digital art only.
Although I could see you making an exception in this case.

Rob,

I have started creeping my way into traditional artwork as well. Look for more from the likes of Brom, Don Seegmiller, and Larry Elmore. I have pretty much come to the conclusion that I will post any art I like... regardless of the medium. Also, it enables me to have more frequent updates as I dont get alot of submissions and it takes a long time to contact artists.

Hope this makes some sort of sense.

Rob,

Thank you for your compliments. I will keep plugging away at the site since that seems to be what I do best :-) When am I going to see some of your artwork land in my open gallery? (I received your AOD submissions BTW)

I was kinda wondering how they fit into the "Rebirth" theme of the competition. Would you like me to post them to the open gallery?
