OK Peeps, here's the dig. Over the next few months I'm going to be scanning in Andrew Loomis' Figure Drawing For All Its Worth. If you don't know, this is THE definitive book on human figure drawing. However, it's rare and expensive and out of print. So for the good of all I'm scanning it. I have posted the first section. This will be the permanent address: http://www.antsin3d.com/loomis/
I am cross posting this so that no one will miss it and be left out. Enjoy, and feel free to offer feedback.

...click/Save As/Back...click/Save As/Back...click/Save As/Back...click (ooo, pretty picture)/Save As/Back...

I was actually bidding on this book awhile ago before it just went too high for my budget. My only question about this is the legalities behind it. But thanks for the scans.

[EDIT]Wait, I've seen some of these pages before...the skeletons at the end, like the last six pages or so. So that's where they were scanned from...heh

I suppose there may be some old copyright on it, but frankly Loomis would want us to "share the wealth," so to speak. He was an advocate of getting the knowledge of art techniques out there, and since no one's printing this, probably ever again, this project makes sense.

WOW!

Good stuff, I love it when someone takes steps such as you to benefit the whole community. Thank you for your efforts, so far and into the future. If it isn't easy to get anymore then I see the copyright problem as irrelevant. A book like that should be available to everyone who wants it.

Will you eventually provide it in one big download?

thx, once again.

IMPORTANT!!!

Attention everyone especially 'ANTHONY'

If you have been to the Loomis Project Webpage. Then you probably would have downloaded every page you can get. There is a problem however.

Pages 17 and 18 are the same! aaagghhh!

The pictures on both these pages are of page 17. There is not one availabe for 18. I have e-mailed the webmaster of www.antsin3d.com and notified him of this problem.

Anthony: I am also of course telling you now if you haven't read your email!

Anyway... Problem should be fixed soon... (please!)

Oh well.... since I just managed to get an original copy of this book for ~ 25 $ I won't be needing this but it rules anyways

Anthony, why do you think it'll never be reprinted again ? I mean just looking at the prices on eBay one can tell that there's a huge demand for the book....

Well, last Wednesday I scanned the last batch. On the site it says I'm gonna do 10-15 pages/week. I think there are nearly 200 pages. So you do the math. :] BTW, if you checked, you might have noticed that page 18 is fixed...

Oh give it a rest Freddio. I'm sick of naysayers intent on keeping certain art methods secret. Let me worry about the damn copyright.
