I am a big fan of this guy (though his latest jobs aren't so good as the older ones, in my humble opinion), but I haven't seen him mentioned in these forums between the 'Big Ones'.
For those of you who do not know his art, here are some links:

I hope you like it.

yeeah.. what an awesome fella. i have that squashed fairy book he illustrated. So good. takes something that is somewhat overused ('fantasy') and makes it totally new. *taps foot* Blitz is a huge fan of his work.. let's see if he finds this post..

Mmmm... Froud... one of my favorites.

I have an autographed framed piece of his, as well as an autographed "good faeries, bad faeries" book!

Froud does some really nice work. I have his good faeries bad faeries book. Very nice. While on the subject of seemingly unfamiliar artists, I've recently discovered the work of Dutch/English Pre-Raphaelite painter Alma-Tadema. Pretty much blew my mind.
Here's a link (crappy scans) http://www.best.com/~martyw/PreRapA.html
The way he paints marble is unrivalled.

I did not know this artist, and...well, I'm breathless.
Stunning realism.
