If there is anyone who works in the computer game industry and has a cool website to show off there artwork could you please give me a little bit of information about what developers want to see in 3d and 2d skills and a link to your site.
I am about to start work on my own website for my lightwave, painter and photoshop artwork and i kinda need some suggestions on what to call it if anyone has any ideas i would be glad to hear them. I came up with www.digitalmayhem.com but it has been taken and every other name i think of is lame.

Check out http://www.gameart.com .
They have some interesting information there. I haven't thoroughly browsed around the site though.
Also, if you're willing to get onto IRC chat, there are a few channels which are dedicated to game design.
#Model_Design -Charachters and animations
#Level_Design -Levels and environments
#Gamecode -Technical, but somewhat useful
If you're using a PC, I would recommend http://www.mirc.com mIRC. On a MAC I don't know.
As far as what employers are looking for, I couldn't tell you unless I knew exactly what you want to get into. The general rule of thumb: Applicable Knowledge.
If you want to get into charachter animation, go to http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/ and make some Quake 3 PPM's (Personal Player Models). Getting in with a dedicated team who is making a MOD for Quake or some other game would also be a good idea. Make sure the group doing it has released things in the past, since game MOD's have the highest vaporware ratio. =]
