i currently have and account with namezero. they own my domain name.

their service is this, they pay for the domain registration and all that for exchange to advertize on your site.

but i dont want their adverizing bullshit on my site....it slows it down conciderably.

does anyone know a way to get rid of this? i was thinking that i can create a page that has a "break frame" java and a re-direct?

well you kind of sold your domain name's soul but there is a way to get past it,

this is some sample source code for doing a rediect that should bounce you to another page, however if that page is also be hosted by the same server you may still have an ad on it. You can make the URL what ever you want, in the source code but I'd host your site on another server to ensure that you don't end up with ads. Oh and like Nex said the company that bought the domain name may just shut you down for not playing by the rules.

oh well. thanks for the input. i put a little code in there to help break the frame.....so lets see how long it takes before i get booted.

i used the code a few times, like they would remove it and id have the frame back like each month, then id just put it back :O

sahripper, those are some pretty basic tutorials that are about on 50 million other sites. (no offense matt). it wouldn't be hard to write them at all without seeing any of the others

I know they are basic, but he used the exact same images etc from the site he took them from. I mean, the least you can do is give credit. So it is ok to take other peoples things....? Steal from others....?

i tried this on an old geocities account that I had and about after 1 month they found out and deleted the site.

AHHH!!!!! sorry bout the tuts. i overlooked the credits. i did get some of the tuts from other sites.....i just wanted to combine them on to one site.

honestly i am working on linking back to the original work....i just overlooked that. thanks for bringing it up.
