That's cool, I love the textures. Nice work.
The train itself is interesting, I don't know how it would actually work.

Yah. Mr. Wonton.. keep in mind that although you may claim the object is facing the camera straight dead on.. it shouldn't looks o flat. Try not to just play with the photoshop marquees and then doing texture fills with lighting effects... try drawing the tank out and it'll give you a better understanding of things. But hey, looks pretty damn cool! |

Eviltoy..I dont agree with you that if something is dead on camera it cant look flat. Have you ever taken somethig like an car in 3D max and put it dead on with the camera? It looks flat!! Anyways the textures look nice..good work! |

Well.... heh.. a flat 2d car coming at you on the street isn't something I would want to see Anyway. yah I guess it could be flat only if it was straight on.. but hose instances are really rare, that's why the train looks strange... If there were perhaps train tracks it could indicate that hey, it's a train |

As everyone has mentioned, the textures looks awesome, however when I first opened this up I thought for sure that it was a gun

didn't bother reading the text, so my point could be pretty useless.
the texture needs more sharpness to it. pick up that wacom and 1 pixel burn/dodge. and don't oversaturate it.

I'm sorry but I just don't think it looks like a train. Nothing suggests train to me except for the title of the thread. It looks more like a rocket launcher of some sort, one that's unfinished. Even the silver parts look like potential rockets and the top could almost be a scope... although I've never seen a rocket launcher with a scope ^_^
Yes, I play with barbies. I pull them apart and reassemble them in unnatural ways for sculptures in my art class.
Watch out or I may rub some estrogen off on you.

I agree with the others on the textures, they are pretty cool. If I touch my monitor, I might get some rust splinters.
A different angle might be interesting. I agree with Jezebel on one thing, it doesn't look as train-like as it could. A chimney with steam pouring out of it maybe? |
