Alright, I'm working on creating my web site and I got to the "links" page.. My first thought was to link to sijun, but as hard as i tried, I couldn't find link button. Do you think that might be a good idea? or do they already exist, and I'm just blind?
Obviously there are many more talented artists that could create much more creative, effective, and original link buttons than I.. but here're a few ideas (just taken from your site):
a possibility... a contest? Winner gets the awesome honor of having their idea be the Sijun link button (or something like that).
well there it is.
Just hit me if I'm an idiot or if you already have link buttons.

Good idea, unless they already exist. Although the ensuing flood of newbies could suck. |

i've tried starting link buttons and stuff a lot of times but never finished any....if anyone wants to make, feel free! i'd suggest making a button for these forums instead of my homepage, cause these forums are cooler...heh. I'll make one for my homepage eventually i think.

BTW the standard size for buttons is 120X60
That should give you a tad more room to work with on those buttons.

No offense Dhab, but I don't want your creepy face staring at me from a button. I mean, every woman I've ever showed your page to thinks your cute, but your pose, expression, and the tilted angle on that pic gives me the willies. |

Sorry, 120x60 is the standard for the online advertising community. Most of the 'big boys' like Doubleclick, 24/7, Mediaplex, AvenueA and Engage all use 120x60.
However that is for the paid medium. After all I don't do work with many 'link for no cash' deals. I like the little buttons though they are much more suitable than some bigass one, plus they still get the point across.
The ones above all look good (except for fausts annoying lens flare one *pokes faust in the ribs*)
Living under a rock Spitfire? Hell there are no rocks in my computer room and I've been in here for the past 5 years.
/me wipes the moss growing on him off and waits to get gang raped by faust and spit.

Theres a difference. 120x60 is a compact banner. Around 80x30 is a button. Like Digger said, banners are the money kind. Buttons are not. So lets stick to 88x31 unless Dhab pays you for the link.
