This is a page from a sample seq. an artist on the topcow boards drew and inked. He goes by the name Jimmyb.

He has four pages and a cover done. I'm going to try and get them all done within two weeks. (Hey, I don't have alot of free time.)

I would really like some comments on this. Especially the interpanel relationship.

I took time into consideration here. I wanted to work quickly. It was done in less than 5 hours.

was the person who drew this a professional comic artist or someone submitting work? because something about the perspective in panels one and three REALLY bugs me, looks VERY unnatural. the center panel, plus the splash are done quite well though...

EDIT: boards = forums? if so its probably a submission.....

oh yes, nice colors as well you kept a pretty consistand scheme throughout the page, which makes it easier to take in...

My tea's gone cold,I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all
the morning rain clouds up my window and I can't see at all
And even if I could it'd all be grey, but your picture on my wall
it reminds me that it's not so bad
it's not so bad

jimmyB (the penciler/inker) is not pro yet. He is still trying to figure out perspective. He likes to draw on his kitchen table. I've told him he should be in the proper work environment if he wants to pursue this professionaly. i.e. drafting table or big drawing board, T-square, angles, etc.

As far as the coloring.. I think you should reconsider the whole "painterly" look you are trying. I haven't seen it work anywhere. It doesn't blend well with the line work and it tends to fight the forms making it hard to depict all the nice detail the penciler and inker put into the picture. Just my opinion.

I agree with Chapel; I like the pencils and inks, but the color job doesn't work. And it doesn't look professional to me. Sorry.

I don't have a clue on how to color blood effectively.

I'm doing page 3 now.
