I started doodling different orc monstrocities back in high school. I'm sure a lot of you guys have an image laying around somwhere with one variation on the old theme or another.

Sorry, mine's not really much more than a straight scan, I am not that good with digital imaging, still trying to get my beatings there, you know... But in any case, here goes:

I'd sure like to look at the orcs anyone else has.

Oh, and if anyone has any suggestions/flames on where i should go with this image, I'd sure like to hear about it.

Looks great and hideous. The nose is awesome. Very nice expression. One thing you may try to get rid of is the symettrical shading. (where shading of things on the left just look mirrored) It kind of takes away the uniqueness. And.. i'd have to say it looks a bit flat. That's a problem with.... somewhat straight forard lighting. You might try changing the direction of lighting next time. But abyway, nicely done and you should try finishing up the chest area and add legs arms etc to make that guy one bad ass mother f*cker

Cool looks like a cross between and Ogre and an Orc. You say you want to see other peoples orcs? Well here is one that I am not finished with yet.

Well, here's one that I started a while back and gave up on. He ended up looking too clean and saturated for an orc...

I dunno, i think he's really cool looking.
I would definitely like to see this guy when you were finished with him. As it is he looks great, and I can't readily point out anything that is missing.

This one is a few years old. I never finished him.

It was done with a mouse which isn't much of an excuse. I'm almost ashamed to post it in such company, but I'd like to see this thread continue.

because i think that in gimp the interface works against the user rather than helps him out. the tools in photoshop are easy to learn and intuitive while gimp is an arcane collection of menus and dialogs that's impossible to navigate.
