I found this image that I forgot to finish some time ago, shall I waste more time on it or shall I throw it in the recycle bin? I know that it's impossible to make something like this fly, but wouldn't it be cooool?? hehe...Now rip it apart....
Thankyou!

Well, you are definitely kicking some mechanical as! I would choke trying to make so many mechanical details
Someone should build it IRL, with remote control and stuff, I would buy one for sure!

Cool, it's got a real victorian, turn of the century, fantasical kind of appeal to it. Neat stuff

that's what I ljust noticed, anticz. It's got that whole steampunk feel, and i love it! I've fallen madly in love with the whole concept of the victorian era coupled with unparalleled steam-driven mechanics. It's like the whole Wild Wild West thing, but not gay Good monthly intake of steampunk is the comic by the same name, Steampunk. Lovely pencilling, and the story is involved and deep. You're exposed to plot elements and hooks tha make you wonder, but then in a later issue it all comes together. I love it.
Anyhoo, enough about that. Finish that off Capt... it's lookin' really good. |

nice work, guy! you can almost see the bat moving. I like the colors, too. There's a variety of them whih makes the creature seem more real and alive. I like it how you didn't resort to all cool colros or warm colors.
Yes, please waste time and finish it!

Yay! More dragons I love dragons!
anyhoo. your pic looks absolutely awsome! just one thing though, I was always under the impression that dragons had arms. Maybe I'm mistaken, but also it was wyverns that did not have arms (they also had scorpion tails)
But there's really nothing wrong at all with your pic! great work!

Cripes! Nice image. Personally, I think the pose could be more dynamic, but the rendering is great.

wow, this is top stuff! only crit i can think of is that the thing's left wing is behind the head and it's bit distracting to my eye at least(with that movement on the wings and all)... just a nitpicky compositional thing.
and now post some more of your work!

Oh, thank you for the crits! I've been working on it today, but I should have read your crits before, hehe. I didn't give him any arms, maybe because it would be too mutch? Shall I give him arms?Well, keep on critting! thank you...

Wow! That looks alot better now that a few things are fixed. I really like the lighting from the fire, and the colors you used in the overall image, not to mention your steampunk dragon design looks awesome. The only thing that bothered me a little was the pose of the legs.
Congrats on getting the PotD at 3dPalette!

Yea, I think the "piss leg pose" is kinda annoying too, but I saw this fossile on tv one day, it was a piece of rock that had a print of a dinosaur that had feathers and could fly, and It did almoust exactly that pose...I know it looks korny but wouldn't it be boring if both legs where exactly the same?...well, I'll try to fix a better pose ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
