well its looking good. The colors are coming along good. The face looks a little small for the rest of the head. I think you need to shade a little bolder so that it doesnt look flat. The ear on the right side looks deflicted. You need to make the neck darker... but these are all just what I think you need to do...not necassarily what you HAVE to do. Merry Christmas!

a few things stick out to me, the shading on the face doesn't seem quite right, perhaps making it more gradual would help and,
more importantly

The eyes are pretty small, generally you want your head to be 4 eyes long, encompassing your two eyes, an eyespan between and half an eyespan on each side.

Also, his nose shouldn't be to the side so much since he's looking directly at us.

It's still coming along nicely, keep up the good work

Image 1.
It does look rather flat. Faces drawn straight on often suffer from being flat, unless you are really bold with the lighting. The face is rather small - the face fills the head, it doesn't sit in the middle of it. The eyes in particular are very close. Find an anatomical drawing on the web or better still measure from your own body.

Argh!! Lense flare!!
Just ask yourself this.... what does that overblown, oversized, overused lense flare actually add to your picture?

Here comes some things i haven mentioned.
1.img: You need more shades and any human has muskels even in the face, try to detail it there.
Dont use the blurbrush to mutch it looks washed. Try to draw some Vetors against the outside of your painted areas this will give you an sharp contrast(Path 1pixel Stroke black, hope you understand)
Use magnetic to cut some areas out (maybe the eyes)resize it +100% draw your stuff and copy it back, this will give you lots of detail.

2.img: just an filtered pic, sorry
