I did this with pencil crayon and then digitaly fixed it up a bit. I didnt do any erasing because of the pencil crayon. Including everything i think it took about 1 and a half hours. I cant figure out how to do the hair so it is all over the place and rather dull. I also attempted to make it more interesting by adding a hand in there. almost as if it were touchin the screen. It didnt turn out so i got rid of it, leaving the pic kind of boring lookin. Maybe one of you could help on that. Anyway.. there is a better copy at the bottom
Crits are well welcomed.
Enjoy!

brue, just because you're the sister of Isric and donk is why i'm replying so don't get your hopes up j/k
the pic is cool, it definately shows me that it only takes a few different(obvious and very major) things to separate a womans face from a man's, which is a problem i had way back in the beginning of this forum.
well, i really can't help you with the pic that much, but i'm just here to encourage you to keep up the good work. a little couple few things i could point out is, either her face or her nose is a little long(i think it's the nose), and the hairline could use a tad of work.
Merry Christmas!!!!

Brue-
Pretty good. I think if you add some more shadow to the cheekbones, chin and nose it will help define the face. Hair does look better the second time around - believe me I know it can be a pain to do hair. That's why I draw bald people and machines ... no hair!
Anyways, I like what you have hear. If you want I can point you towards some good tutorials for drawing womens faces and hair.
Cheers! |

Brue-
Check out Polykarbon- there are some good tutorials there on hair, facial details and the like. It all has a definite anime lean to it, but it does help quite a bit. The techniques can be applied within any style.
Cheers, and merry christmas!
