I like the first and last one best. Maybe post just small pictures next time. These took a while to download.

yeah no 1 is proberably the most proffesional designer looking one. make the link text clearer. i had to really look for the links before i found them.
i though no4 was an imteresting idea. but it would need more development.

I don't prefer any of the colours but it's a nice design and I would have to say 1

1 & 4 too. On N2 the word design should have a brighter color because it's difficult to read. |

I like the second one best. I like the shapes of the boxes, especially the news box.

First, think of my critique as the harsh one you take with a grain of salt if you don't agree.
I agree #1 and #2 are your top designs.
For graphics, they both look very cool. They are interesting to look at, and have focal points, etc. As designs for the web, I have a few comments:
#1. My Fav. I'm not sure if this is just a personal site or if you will want to sell your services from it, but I can guess your age and your mentality by the " : : " theme. If you want to use that, I think it should be used sparingly for emphasis.
My major concern is that this is a graphic that wasn't thought out on paper before you headed to photoshop. To me, it is not balanced at all and it looks like you just added elemenst you like in general areas where there was space to be filled without thinking of continuity. The whole design would come together if you repositioned and resized the elements so they all work together.
The text effect (drop shadow) works. But it should be consistent, maybe slightly varied. Not one drop shadow going one way in reverse, and another going another way with it resized and kerning big.
Mostly though for this one, it's the right portion where the text is and all the little polygons surrounding it that bug me. It seems like a doodle with shapes just fitting on the next and seeing where it takes you rather than a cohesive part of the design. I would limit the number of shapes here (especially the aesthetic shapes that serve no other purpose) and I would stick to a max of 3 colours (plus black and white) on the whole page.
#2. Basically same comments as #1. This one is basically the left nav bar, top header bar, right floater bar design that you see in most sites (except they are just rectangular areas) Instead, you've added so it looks more hip and design-ish. And it does. But, I think you've gone too far with the notches. There is no consistency, no parallels, no distinctions or varying or the volume in the 3 major shapes.
I think what you have here is a very creative start. You just don't have the restrictions that designers often put on themselves for the sake of 'continuity' 'balance' 'simplicity' . . . it doesn't seem like you are taking into account the transition into html. The way it is, all of the areas that are not the backgrond colour must be graphics.
My best advice is to look for inspiration in major web design firms' websites, or advertising firms' websites, or large new or tech. company websites.
If you understand what I'm saying, then I think your designs will improve considerably and you'll impress all the adults and your friends with your high-end designs

soo... # 1 is still on top and i think it will stay there...
But # 2 gets more and more to the top...
I would really appreciate more comments, but if no other post i think i will go with # 1 with some small changes...
