OK, I've been here for a little while and I've witnessed the forum go through good and bad times. Usually, the forum bounces back in a major way, but this time it doesn't look very promising. So, like they say we need a little less talk and alot more action. I'm offering the forum one last suggestion. This problem is not going to be solved by a moderator or a forum split. It needs to be solved by the members. So, what I suggest is that everyone take the next couple of days to shutup and put up. What I mean is instead of devoting all your energy to flaming others or bashing art... produce something.. anything and post it. Everyone is complaining that there isn't enough art.. well lets show em why this is an art forum. Lack of inspiration lately? Well, that piece your working on that you think is junk may just inspire someone else.. so post it. I ask that everyone participate.. that means micke, joachim, Francis, dives, faustgfx, dhabih, splitsoul, Rinaldo, so on... I don't care who and I don't care what it is .. just make something. This isn't draw club.. this is make whatever you want. I'll even draw something.. that's right.. I said draw not color(major feat for me if you don't know me).

Want to make it interesting? We can have a sign-up list. Take everyone who posted and participated and randomly match them with someone else in the list. The partners will be informed and then they have to redo each other's pic. Or something to that nature? You'll be sure to at least get one reply.

Well said Chapel This whole flame war erruption is tearing us apart...And I do mean
US...We really are a community...Or so I used to believe, things have really gone downhill the last little while. This place was really blooming into something incredible, and was really starting to take flight around March or April. It hurts me to see this happening. I hope everyone decides to participate in what you've suggested, actions speak louder than words--If you really care about this place, as I'm sure many of u do, quit talkin' and start creating...

Chapel good idea ...I am in but it isn't all about posting art it is about mediocre people like me posting somthing and getting good feed back from people so that my time here is valuable..if I wanted to just post art I would go to elfwood...thing special here is that good people can give good feedback. I posted something the other day and got barly any feed back from it. It kinda erks me when someone like ____..let's just say a female member.. posts ( here's a picture of mt toe nail ) and like 50 people responde and I post something and like 6-7 people responde with something like
I did'nt like the little animation at your website...or something else completly unrelated....

uhh sorry venting..anyways I will try to make something thatckicks ass to post today or tommrow...though I doubt barly anyone is going to be around for very long as it is christms break for most artists.

I'm game, but question though, or clarification...when we create this new piece of art are we posting it back to this thread (bad idea I think) or are we gunna post it to our own individual threads, preferably with a special heading like "Flinthawk's 'Taking Action' piece" or "Chapel's 'Taking Action' piece", etc....just a phrase to indicate what this piece is for as well as the name of the person who did it (er, well, I guess that shows on the side bar but it might make things easier incase we need to run a search on the thread later on). At least this way we'd know who's participating unless you're thinking that you just want to see more posts containing art in general, whether they get mixed in with other random threads or not. Forgive me if I'm being stupid, I do this from time to time.

That is a very cool idea Chapel. I've been really busy lately and hating my work and my life so a little distraction is welcome. The forum has gotten a little "unfriendly" lately, so I haven't been around it 'cause there's not much you can gain from a lot of negativity...there's plenty of that anywhere you go anyway, why log on for more? But if there's at least a few people that want to draw, and honestly critique, and not be stupid, that's worth tuning in from time to time.

P.S. I'll try to draw and not color this time. I'll feel your pain Chapel.
