the halflife engine can only handle 256x256 textures...

but the 1100 polys isnt too bad. i think the target computer system is a pII 230, a voodoo 1 or 2, and 34mb of ram. i have a PIII 550, a 32mbtnt2, and 256mb of ram...and cs runs fine for me using 3000-4000 poly player models.

Excellent model. Where do you CS guys get all of your gun specs? They seem really accurate, and you've obviously put a lot of time in to make it so.
Do you know/are some gun nut that knows all the minute facts about automatic weapons?

There are websites.. like securityarms.net or better.
My question is - how exactly did you texture map it? You used that unwrap thingy with Texporter? I really have problems texturing my models (newbie in 3d) :o
