Wow, what a cool little mix of folks...
I'm the lead interface/graphic/web designer and web developer for an internet software development firm.
sure, it's not game/movie/entertainment related, but I'm working on my own projects as well.

Well I am part of a very start up company and we are in the process of developing our first game called the Bard's Legacy. It's pretty much a modern version of the Bard's Tale rpg.

Hi!
I'm new to the forum and enjoy ALL of your work!
Currently I work for a small game company in New Jersey doing low poly 3D models and textures. http://www.rubiesofeventide.com
I also have formal training in the "comic book arts" from the Joe Kubert School and have worked as an assistant inker on almost every comic the big 3 have put out.
Currently I'm looking to relocate from NJ to CA. So if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!

I think this may help some people as a resource to different industries for those who are looking to get into a certain field or want to ask something specific of someone in a certain field.
So, if you do digital art as a profession (doesn't mean only in photoshop, just anything art related using the computer for at least part of the work) please reply here and include who you work for, what your company does, and what you do for them....this includes those of you who do freelance work. Just really brief things like for example for me i'd say : I work @ Valve Software who make computer games, and i'm a 2d/3d artist there."
You dont have to include your real name if you dont want...
I'm not sure if this will work...maybe i will only get 1 response, but i think there should be at least a few people here.
The page i will add this to will most likely be accessible from the main forums page along with some other pages i'd like to create, such as the most frequently asked questions on this board and their answers and some other things.
If you know others that work somewhere but maybe dont come here everyday to see this message, please lemme know their info too (if they've already publicly made this info known, i dont want to "out" anyone )
thanks,

Peter Marshall - uh, I guess I'm a 3D designer. Lately I've been doing illustration for DOMUS and for a book on 'cybertecture' for Birkhauser. I want to keep designing architecture, but not have it be built, just experience it in the computer. Seems logical enough.
My new website is www.joysticky.com - you can get to some of my wicked friends' websites from their as well.

hey I'm new here. This is my first post. You'll be seeing some artwork of me and a friend of mine soon. First I have to find a good site to post images here. We do webdesigns. But we als do 2D illustrations. The company isn't up yet. We still have to do alot. Like pick a name (I hate domain-names) hehe Right now we are working on coloring and rendering cartoonish figures. We still have to learn alot so we'll be asking for some advice on here too. Just trying to figure out as much as we can ourselves first. The pictures will be up soon. And so will our company. Until then! |
